It has been a week since Amelia last saw Shawn Princeton. She still cannot believe that he just abandoned her there. As she gets ready to leave to get breakfast she hears the ringing of her cellphone. Shocked at seeing the caller ID displayed on the screen, she reluctantly answers her phone.

"Shawn, did you need something?"

"Amelia... I've been thinking about our arranged marriage, and I was wondering if we could meet up and talk about it."

"Sure, I was just heading to the little cafe in town to get me some breakfast, why don't we meet there."

Ever since the last meeting he had with Amelia, Shawn had been thinking. After thinking for the past week he concluded that he's just going to try to make things work between the two of them. He hears the ringing that signals the employees that a customer has entered the cafe, and not a minute later sees Amelia strolling towards him. He gets up and pulls the chair out for her.

"You didn't have to do that, but thank you anyway." Amelia said as she sits down.

"Would you like me to get you something to eat or drink?" Shawn says as he makes his way to the other side of the table.

"No, you don't have to do that. I can just get it myself."

"But I insist, so please just tell me what it is that you want." Shawn refutes.

"A croissant and a coffee would be enough."

Seeing Shawn Princeton's new found gentleman attitudes shocked Amelia, and made her even more eager to know what the meeting is all about. As she waits for Shawn to come back she looks out the window that surrounds the front of the cafe, smiling at a happy couple walking by and wishing that she too may have the happiness they share.

Shawn looks back towards Amelia as he waits for his order when he notices Amelia looking out the window. He could not help but stare at her smiling face, and as he did, he too felt a smile creeping on his face.

"Sir, you order is ready." the employee at the counter says to get his attention.

"Thanks." Shawn says in reply. "Here's your coffee and croissant." he says as he sits back down.

"Thank you. How much did it cost, so I can pay you back."

"You don't have to, besides I wanted to meet you so treat this as my payment for taking up your time." a silence follows and after looking around the shop Shawn finally speaks. "Before anything, I would just like to say that I am so sorry about leaving you, my anger just took over and my actions were unjustified. You see, it was the same day that I was forced to break up with my girlfriend Tara," a moment of silence follows "So about the marriage, I would just like to let you know that I am accepting it but only under a few conditions."

"And what are these conditions you speak of."

"After the wedding, I would like it if we just pretend that we are husband and wives only around our parents, and not act like a married couple unless it is necessary."

"Understood, I will agree to this since it is my fault that you are under these circumstances." Amelia responds.

"I also have another condition. I would like it if we can see other people while were married."

Amelia was hesitant to agree but after thinking and seeing no harm in doing so, she finally agreed. Upon finishing their food and coffee the two parted ways.

Since their meeting at the cafe, the two never encountered each other. Often just seeing each other whenever their parents would schedule a dinner together. And whenever these dinners happen both would act as a loving couple.
