the boy from the next balcony

"Okay," I said almost in a whisper, noticing Tom approaching me. His fingers still on my chin. I was just looking into his eyes, and the moment we were inches apart I heard the balcony door open from which my brother came out of, I quickly pulled away from Tom and looked at Michael

"who are you?" Michael said a little angrily to Tom

"I'm Um, a new neighbor," Tom said as he stood up and raised his hand, but Michael didn't take it

"Well, new neighbor, you better go to your place" Michael said, pointing to the second balcony on his right.

"Michael-" I said but he interrupted me

"I'll talk to you too, don't worry" he looked at me and then back at Tom, who was looking at him a little angrily but also frightened.

Tom climbed over the railing and went to his room as soon as he slammed the door Michael pulled me into my room and started yelling "What do you think you're doing, do you think that when Dad is dead you can kiss a boy you know for barely 10 hours?!?"

"We didn't-" he interrupted me

"Maybe not but what if I didn't come to that balcony huh, god knows how it would end" he shouted and my eyes started to tear "look, I love you but I don't want another boy to bother my sister" at the word another I started crying even more

"Get out," I said quietly

"What?" Michael said

"Get out of my room you asshole!" I yelled and pushed him out of the door, slammed them and locked them, I sat down in the corner and started crying even more at the memory of my ex

Flashback

"David no," I said as David pushed me against the wall and began kissing my neck

"I know you want it ,babygirl," he said, starting to take off my shirt

"David stop!" I said and slapped him

"So you want to play," he said, running his hand under my panties. I started crying and screaming for help "no one will hear you here" he said while still kissing my neck. Suddenly, someone kicked open the door and knocked David to the ground

"Y/n go!" said a familiar voice, but despite my tears I didn't see who it was. I started running out of the apartment and I saw Michael running behind me on the stairs "Are you okay?" Michael said but I just shook my head and Michael hugged me tightly "you're safe now" he said when he had a chin on top of my head, I just cried into his chest and my body was shaking.

End of flashback

I had been sitting in the corner for about an hour, still crying when I heard a knock on the door, "y/n? I'm sorry. I didn't wanted to mention him," Michael said as his forehead leaned against my door. I got up and went to unlock them and saw Michael with puffy and red eyes, at that moment I hugged him tight and he did the same

"It's ok" I said to his chest "just don't do it again please" I said and chuckled a little and he did the same

"I promise," he said, putting a kiss on my forehead, "and if you want to see that neighbor, fine, but if he hurts you, I'll kill him."

"I know," I said softly, pulling away from him

"Ok, it's too late you should go to sleep" he said, I just nodded and went to bed  "goodnight" he said

"Goodnight," I said, and Michael turned off the light and closed the door. I just stared at the ceiling for a while then closed my eyes and fell asleep.

The next day I woke up, I went to the kitchen to make coffee and then I headed to the balcony for a while I was sitting and just sipping coffee when some voice spoke up:

"um, y/n?" I saw Tom standing nervously on his balcony.I looked at him and smiled I tapped the chair next to mine, he smiled too and jumped over the railing and sat down next to me

"Hey what's up," I said, sipping my coffee

"I just wanted to apologize for yesterday. After I slammed the door, I heard screams but there was nothing I could do because my mom crawled into my room," he said sadly.

"It's ok Tom, my brother and I are yelling at each other all the time" I said, fake smiling.

"Okay, I should go, we'll have breakfast soon" he said, pointing his thumb behind him. I nodded and watched Tom climb over the railing and disappear into his apartment.

I finished my morning coffee and went inside to brush my teeth and do nothing because it was Saturday and I have nothing to do.

"Michael!" I screamed from the kitchen, Michael immediately ran over and took the lunch I had prepared and went back to his room, I also got food and went to watch TV in my room. When I finished eating, I took my plate to the kitchen and went to take a nap because I didn't sleep much overnight.

I was woken by a gentle knock on the door when it was about 7pm?!?! I said to myself 'Oh shit' , looked at the room door and found that there was no sound coming from, then I looked at the balcony door and saw Tom holding two blankets in his hands and a smile on his face.

I smiled and went to open the door to find out what he wanted "hey" I said a little sleepily

"Hey" Tom said and smiled even more "I brought blankets I thought we could lie down on them and could watch the stars"

awww he's so adorable, I just smiled modestly took a few more blankets that were in my room and went to balcony and closed the door behind me.

We laid the blankets on the cold floor and lay down on them, Tom and I almost touching with our hands and I felt the warmth coming from his body.

"So, how was your day?" Tom said he looked at me and rested his head on his right hand but I was still looking at the stars and sometimes I looked into his eyes

"Well, actually almost the same as yesterday, I just sat in my room and watched TV, then cooked lunch and watched TV again" I said but now Tom had my full attention

"It must have been a very interesting day," Tom said, looking deep into my eyes

"Well, it was a very interesting day," I laughed

"It could be more interesting," Tom said softly, still looking me in the eye

"Yeah? how so?" I asked

"You'll see" he said quietly and started approaching me......
