Vinnie and have driving around with the windows down and blasting music. I am pretty sure we weren't anywhere near LA by now

7:15pm SHIT

E: FUCK
V: what's wrong?
E: I have a date with Kio at 7:00 I completely forgot, fuckfuckfuck
V: okay okay I'll turn and we will go back, chill okay?
E: I can't!!! We are like- I check the gps, 45 MINUTES AWAY?!?!?!
V: Emma just call him
E: oh yeah cause he's gonna be pleased to know we have been together all day and I'm being late to our date cause I'm god knows where with you
V: DONT BLAME THIS ON ME
E: IM NOT IM JUST ANXIOUS ABOUT IT IM SORRY

The car stopped dead on its tracks and made a weird noise

E: Vinnie...
V: wait here

V: it's the radiator
E: ISNT THE CAR NEW?!
V: it's an old car Emma
E: this couldn't get any worse, I need to call kio. I take that back, it can get worse, I don't have signal

It was getting dark, we've been here for 20 minutes and I'm starting to get cold. Vinnie got signal for like a fraction of a second and called car service but they said they would be here in an hour so we had to wait

V: you are shivering. Take this- he was gonna take his hoodie off and I stopped him
E: it's cold, keep it
V: emma take the hoodie please
E: no- I say and the wind blew right into my face making me shiver again
V: it's not up for discussion- he said and gave me his hoodie. He waited until I had it on and got in the car, reclining the seat all the way down, I did the same thing and looked at him
E: can you put like music or sum?
V: yeah you wanna use your phone?
E: ive 5%
V: okay here- he gave me his
E: thanks- I smile. I put frank ocean and lay back down closing my eyes

We were like that, just laying next to each other for like 5 songs. Vinnie reached for a piece of my hair and tugged it behind my ear, he ran his finger down my cheek bone and placed it on my chin. We looked at each other intensely

E: Don't, please- i say and get out of the car

I lay my back on the back door of the car, looking at what's behind the road

V: Em- he said grabbing me by the waist
E: I don't wanna talk
V: who said I wanted to talk?- he said getting closer and closer to my lips
E: V...
V: don't say anything- he whispered and kissed me

At first it was sweet, like a long peck, but then he opened his mouth and i did too, our tongues were suddenly playing with each other and the taste of his lips gave me butterflies, minty but i could still taste the chocolate from the ice cream, his lips were cold and I suppose mine were too. I put my arms around his neck and hug him closer to me, he squeezes my waist and lowers one of his hands to the small of my back and then my ass, slightly stroking it, making me move my hips forward and feeling him close to me. Vinnie pressed me against the car, a small moan scaped my lips and Vinnie groaned, cupping my cheek and putting his forehead against mine

E: wh-
V: I like you
E: Vinnie I don't know what to say... I, I need to get back to Kio
V: are you kidding me?- he took a step back
E: I need to talk to him, Vinnie
V: what you need to do is make a decision
E: V- I say and try to touch him but he steps back and shakes his head no
V: I can't do this, I thought- I thought you maybe felt the same way
E: V you are my best friend
V: that's not enough
E: I like you ok? But I like him too, lo quiero Vinnie es complicado, nosotros somos amigos, es un sentimiento distinto
(Lo quiero Vinnie, it's complicated, you and me, we are friends, it's a different feeling)
V: I can't understand if you talk in Spanish
E: there is no way to say it in English, it doesn't exist. It's a word, a feeling, when you like someone, so much, but you don't love them yet, is like an in between, in the middle of liking someone and loving them
V: great- he nodded and walked around the car, he sat on the side of the road, looking at the lights of the city

Half an hour later the service came, I walked towards Vinnie and placed my hands on his shoulders

E: they are here- I say hugging him by his neck from behind him, he caressed my arm still looking forward
V: okay, get in the car- he said and I did

We finally went back to sway, before I stepped out of the car I look at Vinnie, he didn't talk to me in the way back and now he didn't even look at me
E: good night
V: Emma, I don't think we should see each other as much, if you start something with Kio
E: don't ask me to choose between the two of you, you are both really important for me in different ways. But you don't get to make me choose between two people that I care so much about cause I'm not only gonna end up choosing him, but I'll want you as far away from me as posible- he looked at me and clenched his jaw
V: get out please
E: bye V- I say and kiss his cheek before walking away

E: GUYS!!!!- I say running into the house
B: what's going on I didn't know you were coming, I thought you went on a date with Kio, you stood him up?
E: it was a misunderstanding, Vinnies car broke down and we didn't have any signal
B: he's in his room
E: thanks

I ran upstairs and opened the door to see kio on his bed with his phone

E: Ki?
K: go away
E: im sorry- I say sitting next to him on the bed- What's all that?- I say, a teddy bear and roses were on the floor
K: they were for you

Not really my cup of tea but it's nice that he cares

E: Kio, im so sorry
K: you were with him weren't you?
E: yes, but it's not what it looks like, he's car broke down and we didn't have any signal, we were driving around and suddenly we were in the middle of the road outside LA. Believe me I tried to come as fast as possible- I say and lay next to him, cupping his cheek
K: be my girlfriend
E: what?
K: I want you to be my girlfriend... would you?
E: Kio I... yes- Kio smiles and hugs me, then he kisses me and I smile
