The gates were so close. But it's always when you needed something to be close that they were just an inch too far, which was in fact the case as your felt an arm loop around your own and your trajectory away from the school was diverted around to the side, until you were trapped between a rock and a hard place, or rather a wall of brick and a wall of rather snarky looking, yellow clad women. You must have taken a moment too long shoving your belongings into your bag, which was now all strewn across the grass at your feet, and allowed each of the lovely ladies in front of you time to get out of their classes before you and wait to corner you. Despite going through this for a whole week, you knew none of the names of anyone standing in front of you, as none of them had dignified themselves with giving you their names. As such as the first girl stepped forward, who you had decided fairly promptly that she was in fact the leader of the posse, you had little way of adressing her, so you only shot her a hesitant smile, which was clearly the wrong move as this only started her fist in the direction of your face, which seemed like a rather quick escalation of events in your books. Reflexes kicked in and your knees dropped to your feet. Oddly a cry of pain screamed out, and it took you a moment to be sure that it wasn't you that had cried out despite being confident you hadn't had anything make contact with your face in recent moments. A quick glance up showed the noise had in fact been emitted by the girl who had tried to inflict such pain on oneself, but in her very sudden attempt to break your nose had put so much force into her movement that she hadn't had the time to realise you had dodged her attack, and so had instead met the wall with full force. It was the wet feeling against your face that alerted you to the blood dripping off your assailants clearly broken hand as she held it limply in her other palm, but this wasn't the most alarming issue at hand. If looks could kill was certainly the phrase to apply here, as the look in her eyes was so deathly she was practically burning the tears that streamed from her eyes as her blurry gaze was locked with your own which you were sure was one of terror. Your reflexes had used all their luck as you barely made it up from the ground before a barrage of hands grabbed at you and your back met the very wall that was smeared with blood behind you. The force was enough to wind you which was never a good start as your knees gave way once again and you barely managed to keep yourself standing before a foot met your stomach, which had you doubling over against the ground. Your prospects were not looking good, especially as another foot met your back, forcing you into the ground deep enough to get a mouthful of grass. A third foot took full advantage of you trying to stand up, hooking under you and giving full force to your stomach so you rolled over and your back met the rough wall once again before allowing you to slide back down it harshly. You didn't want to move anymore, saving what little energy you had for breathing until the next hit. You could have fought back, but even if they were daintly there was a hell of a lot more of them than you. As you thought, you noticed the next foot never came, and you allowed yourself to look up from the ground to meet eyes with a teacher. A small spike of hope crossed your mind, until you noticed the smile that graced her face as she conversed with one of the girls in front of you. A pair of arms wrapped themselves around you and pulled you from the floor until you were propped up against a warm body instead of the cold ground.
"We just saw our lovely scholar student trip and came to see if she was okay. She might be a little concussed though, Ms, she did hit her head pretty hard on the wall." A quick look around showed no sign of the groups leader, who must have been rushed away by a few of the girls, but her position had quickly been taken by another girl who reassured the teacher in front of them. You barely had the breath to argue, but the tightening feeling around your arm was enough to shut you up even if you could muster the strength.
"We could take her to the nurse if she's still in school, Ms?" The teacher only scoffed and shook her head.
"You girls have done enough, I'll take care of it from here. No hurry on, I'm sure you all have places you want to be." You were traded over to the teacher in a flurry of thank yous and smiles, who struggled to take the weight she was clearly not expecting from someone who had just 'tripped'. You tried to regain your balance which you almost had until one of the girls thrust your bag into your arms, with all your belongings haphazardly shoved inside, which knocked you into the teacher, who turned away in an attempt not the drop you. This moment was just enough to allow the girl in front of you to press her finger against her lips before running back to her group as the teacher guided you slowly inside.

3 hours. They had been waiting outside for 3 hours. You'd been cleared by the nurse who had check your head, but clearly had no reason to check anything else and dismissed you promptly, as she was working overtime at that point. You'd started to head out when you had glanced out of a window that had a full view of the courtyard, and showed some of the girls waiting below. You waited for a few moments only to see a few of them leave as a few more arrived. They were stood outside taking shifts of waiting to beat you up. Top notch end to the day. You concluded they had to leave at some point, and so you walked a few paces back and sat yourself against the banister of the stairs, rising occasionally to see if they had left. Yet 3 hours later they were still outside waiting. The sun was setting over the horizon, so they couldn't wait outside for you much longer. This was inherently true, but instead of going home, the group instead entered back into the school, and knowing the building was rather empty started shouting your name down the winding corridors. Footsteps echoed on the stairs you were perched at the top of, alerting you to their increasing proximity. You rose quickly, but this only alerted the group to your whereabouts, and the footsteps increased as you left your hiding spot. The hunt soon escalated into a chase and you found your breathe once again leaving your lungs as your legs took you around the empty halls. Your limbs started to burn and you could feel the air in your throat scratching the inside as it moved. You couldn't hold out much longer. A quick look backed revealed the group far enough behind you that you took the risk of turning a corner and throwing yourself through the nearest door and closing it quickly behind you, hands scrambling to find some kind of bolt to keep the door shut. A cold metal rod was quickly thrust through a well polished lock, just as the door was tried, but it was soon left alone as the group of hurried footsteps continued down the corridor. A quick glance through the key hole reassured you that the coast was clear before you allowed yourself to sink to the floor as you clawed at your own chest in some attempt to get more air into your lungs as you gasped against the cold door. You vision blurred as tears hit the ground, falling onto the back of your hands as you tried to hold yourself up, head resting against the door that was keeeping out your assailants.
"Um... Are you alright down there?"
