POV: Ember

"There is no way, Chelsea! I can't. I'm not going. You can go, you're the one who listens to him 24/7!" I yell, smashing a pillow over my face as I lay in bed. "But you know him, you'll be able to introduce me!" I remove the pillow, staring up at her.

"I used to know him, in like 5th grade. He doesn't remember me, I'm not going only to get my hopes up and then go home with a broken heart." She groaned, jumping on top of me and shaking my shoulders, "Emberrrrrrr please! You never go out, this may be good for you"

I roll my eyes and stare at Chelsea, "What? You think going to the concert of an old friend to see a bunch of teenage girls shit their pants over him will be good for me? You must be insane. Literally clinically insane." I put the pillow over my face again, only to have it stolen from Chelsea who threw it across the room. "Come on, we're not even that close to the stage, he won't see you. Plus you never go to concerts, and I heard his are really fun. Let's just go for the music!"

"Yeah right, we're in pit. Plus you're like in love with him, you only want me to come because the tickets are in my name."

I had won the tickets a month ago, it was over a radio show and I totally thought it was all bullshit until the tickets actually arrived in my mail. Chelsea has been bothering me ever since, she's been in love with the one and only 'Harry Styles' since One Direction got together. I haven't spoken to Harry since I said goodbye to him in London, neither of us reached out and at first it really hurt. But I moved on.

And when I heard how famous he had gotten, I gave up ever trying to reach out at all. There's no way he would even receive an email or letter from me considering all the fan mail he usually gets.

I hear Chelsea pout and get pulled out my thoughts. Looking up I see her dark read hair flowing past her face towards mine, her septum piercing reflecting light in my eyes. "Fine. Get off me." She squealed and kissed my cheeks repeatedly until I pushed her off. "Thank you thank you thank you!! I have to get my outfit ready" she said with wide eyes.

"Why? The concert isn't until Saturday, it's Thursday."

She looked at me like I had just grown a second head. "Exactly! That only gives me two and a half days to prepare, I'll see you then. Love you!" She yelled as she walked out of my studio apartment, and I could hear her running down the stairs for a couple minutes before the silence kicked in again.

It's not like I was dreading this, but I just wasn't as excited as her. I've listened to a few of his songs, and I'm really proud of how far he's come. But every time I hear him on the radio or in a store it breaks my heart a little bit. I miss him, and I doubt he even knows who I am anymore. I mean why would he? I left him without any explanation.

Grabbing my phone I logged onto Instagram, typing 'Harry Styles' in the search bar. I know it isn't a good idea, but no one was here to stop me. I clicked on the verified account, shutting my phone off when I see the pictures he has up on his feed. I close my eyes and sit up on my bed, taking a breath and unlocking my phone once more.

30 million followers.

Sure beats my 127 followers. I ignore the feeling in my chest and scroll down, clicking on each of the pictures, seeing the hundreds of thousands of likes on each post. All the comments being basically the same,

You're my role model!!!

I love you

Love you Hazza!

"Hazza? What the fuck" These people come up with the most random nicknames for celebrities. I continue scrolling down, the pressure in my chest growing with each picture I see of him. He's grown a lot, sure. Matured too, but his smile remained the same. His dimples too.

After 30 minutes of stalking him, I go to twitter and type in the same name, scrolling through his tweets for an hour. He seems to care about his fans a lot, as I was about to close the app I refreshed it once more. Seeing a new tweet pop up on the top of his page.

Harry_Styles : So excited to see you all Saturday!
-H

Simple, yet sweet. I like the tweet and close the app, receiving a call from Chelsea, "Hello? Did you leave something here?"

"You like Harry's Tweet!" She yelled from the other side, and I shook my head in disbelief "Yeah like two seconds ago, how did you know?"

"Shows up on my phone! So you understand my obsession yet?"

Smiling I hung up on her, I've listened to way too many of her rants about how he's the perfect man for her. It only got worse when she found out we used to know each other.

As I got ready for bed my mind couldn't get rid of Harry. I usually only think of him once in a while, but lately he can't seem to leave my brain. I still remember out last conversation, and how I was supposed to come back and join him and his family for dinner. I learned to love New York, though. It isn't too bad once you get used to the occasional cockroach here and there.

I moved out last year, into the studio apartment I own now. It's nice, one bedroom, open layout, big windows with a great view. My mom pays half since I don't have the best job, and I'm forever grateful for her. She knew it was rough on me when we moved, but I tried my best to stay positive, life wasn't her best friend either.

Neither of us have been to London since we left, she was never in love with the place anyways.

My thoughts went on as the sun went down, the only things in my head repeating over and over. My mum, Harry. My mum, and Harry.

It's gotten quite tiring.
