Chapter 6 The Effects and Encounter

The Mayor: It is time everyone. (to Jared) Captain?

Jared: Of course. (to the villagers) Alright, stay together and don't wander off on your own! Stay near with us and we'll get through this! Clear?

All of the villagers nodded at his instruction.

Jared: Good! Then let's not waste time. (to Jaune, Cartoonz, Wildcat, Terroriser, and the Rangers) Move out!

With that said, Terroriser commands his crew to start the tank and began moving with the villagers that are on top of the tank. Jaune, H2O Delirious, Cartoonz, Wildcat, and the Rangers and made a diamond formation surrounding the villagers. 

Everyone began to move out and walks out through the forest. As for their weapons, Jared has 4 new fresh clips for his M4A1 but Cartoonz and H2O Delirious had to change their weapons to the M4A1 with a holographic sight. Jaune still had the M4A1 from the night raid. 

The only weapon that hasn't dried out is Ohmwrecker's M39 Enhanced Marksman Rifle with a 4x scope but has 1 mag left. Their journey to Vale began.

11 hours later, out of the forest

11 hours later, the villagers were tired and hungry from the walking including Wildcat's Rangers too but now Jared told them to set camp for the night. Terroriser, Wildcat, and 5 rangers were assigned for guard duty. Deery, H2O Delirious, Cartoonz, and 4 Rangers help down Ohmwrecker, Moo Snuckel, the injured, elders, and crippled ones down the tank and the hays carriage as they take them to the infirmary tent so that the doctor can continue treating them. J

aune and 4 Rangers help the villagers to set their tents, some ranger took off their helmets, wipe off their sweat, place their helmets down, and continue fixing up the tents. For those that are not from the village, they have been given some extra tents to sleep in but they must share it in order, male to male, female to female.

 As they are done setting up the camp, lighting up the came fires, a Female Fox Faunus Chef made a cooking station so that the villagers and the soldiers can eat and drink. The food has enough for everyone to eat but the available food is stew soups, bread, and vegetables. For drinks, just water. 

As the chef and her assistants give every food and water for the villagers and Rangers, 2 Rangers sat down their post and began eating chicken soup but all of a sudden 1 ranger began coughing too much. The other ranger began to worry.

Private U.S Ranger 1: Woah, you okay man?

Private U.S Ranger 6: (coughs too much but soon stops and clears his throat) Yeah... I'm good.

Private U.S Ranger 1: Well eat slow next time okay?

Private U.S Ranger 6: Okay.

Inside the mayor's tent, Jared and the mayor were looking at the map, navigating where they are now but by surprise, Jared began coughing.

The Mayor: Are you okay Captain?

Jared: (coughs more but now stops and clears his throat)) Yeah, I'm good... Anyway, where are we?

The Mayor: Were right here (points at the map) We should arrive at my friend's village in 4 days.

Jared: Alright, you get some rest now. We'll head out tomorrow morning.

The Mayor nodded and Jared leaves the tent. In the different areas, Jaune was about to get his food in the cooking tent but he notices something bad. He saw 8 Rangers were coughing badly while 5 Rangers, including Wildcat, trying to help them. He walks towards them and Wildcat notices him coming over.
