You walked back into the building, only to find your device sitting on the front desk. You continued to make your way towards the practice room. When you were standing just outside the door, you got a sinking feeling in your stomach as you heard sobbing and sniffles coming from the other side. You knew, without a doubt, that it was Felix. A few key questions when though your head as you stood outside the door.

Is he okay? 

How long has he been feeling like this?

Why didn't he say anything?

Did someone do this to him?

Did I do this to him?

Guilt struck you in the heart, and your immediate reaction was to throw open the door and hug the weeping boy. So, you did just that.

"Felix..." You said softly getting down to his level on the floor. You took him in your arms and his sobs seemed to only get louder and harder. He was practically shaking in panic, looking you in the eyes trying to form intelligible words, but all that came out was a mess of his cracking voice, and choked sobs. 

"Shhh it's okay. I'm here."

"Just breathe."

"I got you."

You continued to say encouraging things to Felix, as he sobbed in your shoulder.

After a few minutes, you noticed that Felix had stopped crying, all that came out now was hiccups and the odd sniffle. You removed your arms from around him and grabbed your phone which you had set on the floor beside you when you first came into the room. You pulled up Chris's contacts and texted him

You: Hey Chris, you guys can go now, we'll find a way to get home, something came up, we'll talk about it later, when we come back

Chris: Oh well that doesn't sound good. Just be safe, we'll still be awake when you guys come back

You put you phone down and turned your attention back to Felix. You couldn't tell what broke your heart more, the little sobs that were starting to come back out from Felix, or the fact that he was bringing his knees to his chest and keeping his head down in embarrassment. You moved to sit beside him and put your arm around his shoulders, clearly feeling that he was tense.

"Do you want to tell me what's been going on?" You proceeded to rub circles on his back and shoulder.

"It's stupid." He sniffed 

"Well if it making you this upset, I don't think it stupid." 

"I just feel like I'm falling behind." 

"What do you mean?" 

"Well it's just, with everything going on, all the practicing and other stuff I just feel like, I don't know I-I feel stressed I think and I know the others are feeling it too but I don't know I just, I just really miss my-see I told you it was stupid." Felix spoke quickly, clearly embarrassed about his outburst. But one particular part of his sentence made you think.

"Did he miss Australia? Was he home sick?"

"Can we please just talk about this later? Please?" You could hear the desperation seeping with his words. You didn't want to leave this conversation until later, but you didn't think that Felix was in the state to be speaking at the moment. So, you reluctantly nodded. Felix let a long sigh and seemed to have relaxed, it was the most relaxed he had seemed since you had gotten there.

The two of you sat in silence or quite a while after that. Trying to prepare and thinking about how to face the members when you got back.

"Do you think we could, maybe, you know..." Felix was struggling, but you understood what he wanted, a hug.

It broke your heart to see the boy who would so often sweep you up in random hugs struggling to even ask to be held. You wrapped your arms around him, and felt him relax into your embrace. You weren't used to being on the other end of the hugs, it didn't feel right.  but you knew Felix was struggling right now. There was a lot more that needed to happen before Felix would fully be okay again and back to normal, but you were willing to do whatever it took to get him back to his normal bubbly self.

But for right now all Felix had was you, hugging and reassuring him.

And that's all he needed.

I'm actually really proud of this!!! It's the long fanfic I've written yet! Please let me know of any mistakes! I used voice to type for most of this because I'm lazy, and you know that shit ain't always accurate.
