Todoroki x Reader

You laid, lazying in the fields of daises and dandelions. The grass beneath you tickled at your bare skin. Though it was annoying, you didn't hate it. In fact, you loved spring. It was your favourite time of year. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and the air was at its freshest. The time of year was warm yet cold enough to wear a hoodie. Close enough to summer that you could eat an ice cream, near enough to winter you could drink a hot chocolate if you really had the desire.
The season was like love, ever changing, developing but almost always beautiful. You'd often thought about love. How it affects a person's personality, changes them: how they act and how they see the world. In all honesty, the person you loved was right beside you at this very moment.

Of course, he didn't know that yet.

You inhaled deeply, the faint smell of flowers hitting you with the gentlest of scents.

"Hey, Shoto?" You asked quietly, as if to not disturb the peace you'd both created.
"Hm?" He hummed softly. So softly in fact, it could almost fade in with the calm buzzing of bees.
"Do you ever think about love?" your thoughts of only a moment ago were now falling out of your mouth like an artists ideas into a paintbrush on a canvas.
He thought for a while as he worked on the daisy chain "a few times... well, a lot, actually"
For some reason, that took you by surprise. Perhaps it was the fact that he was so hardworking, always focused on his goals instead of emotions and connections with people. Maybe it's because he didn't express his thoughts often, keeping them to himself and leaving them to your imagination.

His answer made you sit up and as you did so, a gust of wind drifted past you both. You watched intently as his hair followed its direction, soft strands moving so you could see his features clearly.
"You do?"
He nodded slightly before glancing up at you, eyes locking momentarily on yours. Your heart fluttered in response and your focus darted elsewhere as if to hide your blush. They found his hands which were working so intricately on the small white flowers.
"I think it's a pretty thing" he smiled to himself, the thought of you flashing through his mind.

He finished the daisy chain by looping it around to create a circle. He hesitated as he stared at his creation... his confession to you.

Of course, you didn't know that yet.

After a while of training your sight on the blades of green, you trailed your eyes upwards. He had already been waiting for you.

As he lifted his arms, his gaze drifted from your souls windows to your lips. However, he snapped his eyes away, instead pinning his sight onto the flower crown he was placing onto your head. A subtle blush formed along his nose and cheek bones while you watched him with the most loving of smiles. He was perfect in your eyes.

Of course, he didn't know that yet.

Even after he had placed the crown on your head, his hands remained in their place.
"Actually... I" he started, voice trembling slightly. He tried to get the words out multiple times but couldn't. In the end, he gave up and let his hand find the back of your neck. You felt your heart speed up, faster than ever anticipated. And when he began to lean in, your eyes closed. Before you knew it, his gentle lips hooked onto yours and it took you by surprise - It would've anyway, no matter how long you would've had to prepare for this moment.

He moved with such tenderness towards you. It lasted for a while, both of you savouring it after having wanted this for such a long time but eventually, you pulled apart. The warm sun caused his skin to glow as he picked up another one of his daisy chains. You had fallen even more in love with him now.

Of course, he didn't know that yet.
