Chapter One

-ˏˋ Third Person POV ˎˊ-

Marinette stared into the night, darkness surrounding her above. The moon and stars filling the darkness, replacing it with light.

She had went outside to clear out her mind in peace. Because of her current situation with kwamis, she couldn't really do that inside.

Not that she hated them, she actually loves them! But.. sometimes they would get.. um.. annoying. But they are really helpful sometimes. They would help out whenever Marinette is designing or making a piece. Kwamis like Longg, Pollen, Tikki and Wayzz would usually help her out.

She sat on the chair on her balcony. 'Ah, free time at last' Marinette thought to herself.

Marinette hasn't been getting much free time lately. There weren't much akumas but she had been staying up almost until the sun starts rises from the east.

Aside from that though, there has been many emotional-rollercoaster type of events that had happened in the last 2 weeks. Like for example, her and Luka's break up, Finding out her idol, Jagged Stone, was Luka's Father.

Or the time Adrien and Kagami broke up because Adrien makes up a lot of excuses for some reason....

Suspicious.. but it wasn't really her business.

Ooh! The celestial guardian of the Miraculous came to take the Miracle box from her and caused Master Fu's akumatization.

And many more other events.

Marinette sighed, she's really tired. But protecting the Miracle box and Paris from it's villain was far more important for a petty break.

Groaning from the tiny injuries she got from her own clumsiness, she went back to her room.

"Marinette? Are you alright?" squeaked a voice. "Yeah, of course Tikki!" Marinette replied, trying to put in some liveliness to hide her lie. Tikki felt a wave of sadness for her holder. She was obviously lying. A few pictures had been placed in her mind, they were the recent events that had happened earlier that week. She and her partner, Chat Noir, had to deal with 4 Akuma attacks! 4 attacks that dealt with Mr. Pigeon. Gosh, that was probably like the the 63rd time they dealt with him!

"Marinette.. Please don't lie to me. I know you are very tired. You really need a break!" Tikki said. At this, Marinette slouched to her chair. Beginning her response with a loud sigh, she continued. "I know, Tikki.. I'm going to be honest, I'm really tired. But Paris needs me."

Tikki stayed quiet and sighed. She was the kwami of creation, she wanted to do something for her chosen. But she couldn't just conjure up a beach or something.

"Marinette?" The girl turned her head to the voice. It was Pollen. "Oh hey Pollen! Can I help you with something?" Marinette asked.

"Can you please maybe make me a jacket? If you want to that is-- I know your super busy- and im just botheri-" Pollen said, stuttering some parts. "You're not bothering me at all so, of course! They're really easy to make so don't worry." answered Marinette, smiling at the little kwami. Just like her previous owner, Chloe, Pollen had a love for Fashion. She would sometimes ask Marinette to make her tiny kwami clothes. Unlike Chloe though, Pollen was rather sweet.

She started working on the jacket right away. 'Maybe I can make jackets for all the kwamis'

An hour later, Marinette had finally finished the jackets. The kwamis were very grateful for the pieces of clothing. They thanked her countless of times and hugged her too.

"Mari, can I play on your phone?" Baark asked. "Yeah sure, go ahead." She answered. Baark had a lot of interest in things like Movies and technology. So Marinette would let her use her computer and phone.

"This is so much fun!"

*ding*

"Marinette! I heard a notification from your pho-" Before Baark could even finish what she was saying, the girl had already grabbed her phone as quick as lighting. She clicked on it and opened up the email from the Gabriel brand.

Reading through the email, Her eyes widen.

"What?"

Hello Marinette Dupain-Cheng,

I'm pleased to announce that you have won the designing contest hosted by the Gabriel© brand. We have looked into your portfolio and found your designs absolutely splendid.

Mr. Agreste would like to meet you next week, Saturday @ 12:00pm. I will be emailing you later on for the address.

Once again, Congratulations.

"OHMYGOSH!! I WON! I WON." I yell. I literally can't believe it. I, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, had won the contest!!

I heard the kwamis say something like:

"Congratulations Marinette!!"

"Yay! congrats Mari!!"

"Woahh!"

"Wait, what did she win again?" Xuppu asked.

"She won the designing contest, Xuppu." I laughed wholeheartedly as I saw Wayzz rolling his eyes at Xuppu.

"Thank you guys. I owe you guys some treats since you all helped me come up with the designs." I said as I smiled.

"Yay! Treats!!" They celebrated.

The kwamis were stopped by light knock on her trapdoor. "Guys, hide." I whispered. They hid quickly in the chest containing the Miracle box.

"Dear, Can I come in?" My mother's sweet voice asked.

"Yeah, sure mom!"

"Marinette, what was all the talking up in here?"

"I- uh- I was talking to my posters of Adrien!- Yeah!" I nervously stuttered out. "Also, I won the contest!!" I proudly smiled as I said that.

"That's amazing honey! Let's go tell your dad and celebrate."

We went down and ate some cake. Dad was ecstatic when we told him, he then said I'd be the best designer in the world and a ton of other stuff.

That night, I sighed dreamily before going to bed. Smiling at the board full of Adrien's pictures, (Yeah, yeah. That's right, I still haven't moved on.) I pulled my covers over me and slept.

Turned out that was one of the best sleep I've ever had!

DAYUMM 988 words woah that's a lot, idek how I managed to write that. I can't even write a 5-sentence paragraph 💀 What's surprising is I wrote this a day after I published the prologue lmfao Also I changed the kwami to Baark bc I wanted more interaction with the other kwamis, idk if there's a notification if I edit the prologue but just so you know!
