It's felt like about a week sense I have been here, stuck on my back. It has been absolutely miserable. I can barely move and the geyser that made me get stuck prevents fish from coming. None of the monsters are smart enough to know where I am either, so no one can find me even if they wanted to help me. Those cursed humans will pay for their actions one day.

"Just help me already!" I cried for help, seemingly for the thousandth time. "I'm starving down here!"

It was no use. Besides, it's not like a random fish can just fall from the sky. Right? Wait no I see something on the surface. It's falling downwards! Finally an opportunity to eat something. As it descended I could tell it was an animal of some sort. It was a fair size as well. I had finally heard the plop of water as the animal fell through the border that leads down into where all the monsters were, including myself.

I open my mouth wide, ready for the tasty snack to fall right into my mouth. Just as how I predicted, the creature fell right in. I could feel it squirm and struggle on my tongue, but a sudden feeling struck me. It felt like if the creature had poisoned me! A strange, sour flavor filled my mouth as I spat the creature out.

I heard it make a soft thud against the rocks and it squealing in panic. It reminded me of myself a bit, but I didn't know in what way. "What even is this stuff," I said to myself, trying to get the gross flavor out of my mouth. I then tried to focus on the creature. "Hey little snack, what did you just do to me?"

As it sat up to look at me, I saw that it was coated in silver fur, it had a long tail and ears, and bright blue eyes. "S-Sorry...I kind of l-leak when I get nervous..." The creature stuttered.

"Erm..leak what exactly?" I asked, feeling a bit uncomfortable with its reply.

I could see its face go red with embarrassment. "I-It's called Shine Fluid.." It replied, wiping some liquid, that I guessed was the Shine Fluid, off its body.

"What's Shine Fluid?" I asked, now interested because of the word Shine.

"I-It's kind of like glow-in-the-dark p-paint.." It replied, obviously still very nervous in my presence.

"Then why is it inside of you?" I asked.

"B-Because I will be able t-to glow or sparkle s-soon I suppose.." It replied once more, now looking all around at the area.

I paused for a moment to look more closely at the creature. It seemed to be some sort of wolf with weird white patches on it's paws, ears, and tail. I supposed that it had to be a young female because of her voice.

At that moment I heard my stomach let out a loud growl and I remembered how hungry I was. I looked down at the wolf once more, who seemed to notice my hunger as well. "Hey little one," I said, slightly embarrassed. "You don't have any food, do you?"

She looked up at me and said, "W-Well..I have s-some Shimmer Puffs.." She took out a sack of sparkly but fluffy sweets.

I immediately snatched her up in excitement and placed her on top of my chest. "Feed 'em to me," I said opening my mouth, ready to eat the candies.

"A-Alright," She said. "T-They might taste a bit odd to you, b-but if you insist.."

I could hear her muttering 'Please don't eat me' nervously over and over to herself as she poured the candies into my mouth. There was a very strong punch of sugar in the candy that made my mouth water as I chewed at it. When I was done I wished that I had a stash of it so I could just eat more.

"D-Did you like them..?" She asked once I had finished.

I had been too lost in the sugary aftertaste to answer. It was just so overwhelmingly sweet! I started zoning back when I felt her trying to climb off of my chest. I instantly snatched her with my claw and said, "Oh no you don't, little snack. You're staying right here."

She struggled for a little bit, but I had been too strong for her to get free. "P-Put me down! P-Please!" She squealed in panic.

"Fine." I said, trying not to show signs of feeling bad for her. I placed her steadily back down onto my chest and said, "Sleep little one. We both need rest." I watched her carefully as she curled up into a ball and doze off to sleep. I closed my eyes, knowing she was safe under my protection, and fell asleep.
