An Unexpected Ex??

{Bakuhoe POV}

"BAKUGOU, COME AND EAT SOME FUCKING BREAKFAST," yells Mina from the bottom of the stairs. I sigh, standing from my desk and stalking out of my bedroom in the direction of the kitchen. 

"Good morning Bakugou! Are you hungry?" asks Momo from the stove. I grunt, sitting down on a stool at the aisle next to headphones and the pink bitch. Mina turns and smiles brightly at me. "You planning on goin out with me today? We need more supplies," she says. I nod, and Jirou smiles gently. "Can you make sure you get the special shampoo that me and the girls use?" She asks me, and I nod.

We both get up and head over to the closet by the front door to grab our gear. We quickly get dressed, and I'm the first out the door. I have to wait for like 5 minutes, because Jirou and Momo keep pestering Mina about being careful and making sure that she comes back safely and shit. "Hey lovebirds, can we speed up the process?" I sigh in irritation, rolling my eyes. 

They nod, both of them giving Mina kisses on her cheeks and saying there final goodbyes to her. She waves, blushing, and closes the door behind her. I side-eye her, smirking, and she smacks me on the arm. "Shut up meanie, I might never see them again ya never know," she mumbles pouting.

We start making our way to the bottom floor, and I scowl at her, quirking an eyebrow. "You think you aren't strong enough to survive out there? Or do you doubt my  abilities to protect you?" I queer. (hehehe)

She shakes her head, and I nod. "Ok, you have nothing to worry about then." When we reached the lobby of the apartment building, I cautiously peer through the planks of the nailed-down windows. 

I see a zombie, and grin. Adjusting my baseball bat on my shoulder, I signal Mina to open the door. When she does, I quickly rush the zombie and deliver a swift blow to the back of its head. It crumples to the ground, and I look down at its limp carcass in disgust. "Another one bites the god forsaken dust of this fucked up planet." I mutter, spitting on the ground. 

Mina frowns, stalking up to me. "Don't disrespect the zoms like that. They used to be people too, you know," She says, before walking in the direction of the store we usually take our rations and supplies from. I stalk after her, watching our backs.

We reach the store, and she heads to the 'hair products' section. I make my way toward the isle marked 'canned food,' and start picking things like canned fruit, meat, and vegetables off of the shelves. I also decide to try and find some noodles that aren't too far past the expiration date, so I can maybe try and cook something.

I make sure that the cans are all snuggly placed in the bag, and then hoist it over my shoulder and start towards the door. As I'm about to call out to Mina, I hear a crash and a muffled scream from the other side of the store.

I drop the bag of food and pull out my bat, stealthily but hurriedly making my way toward the sound. I hear another sound, and one of the aisle shelves topples over, sending the other shelves crashing down in a domino-like fashion. I jump out of the way, just in time to see Mina break out of the grip of a short woman wearing ripped and tattered clothing. I rush to her side, about to ask her what happened when she shushes me violently.

She turns toward the girl, who is clutching her left arm in a fetal position, glaring at us through her bangs. "Get out of here, that food belongs to me you thieves," she growls out, taking a defensive step away from us. 

Mina slowly lowers her knives to the ground, raising her hands towards the feral girl. "Babe, do you not recognize me? It's me, Mina! Remember, The Fall, we were shopping together? It was our 5th date, and you had been looking forward to it for so long, and then we were gonna meet up with Mo and Jirou, and-" She's rambling and crying all at once, and the other girl has let her guard down to be replaced with a face of remembrance and shock, but mostly joy. "...M-Mina? You... You're alive?" She whispers faintly. 

Mina nods her head vigorously, full on sobbing as she runs towards the brunette and pulls her into a tight embrace. The girl tenses, and my hand twitches slightly, ready to protect Mina if she attacks, but she instead relaxes into Minas body, sobbing along with her. " Wh-en y-you didn't meet us a-at the mo-vie theater, I-I thought you'd d-die-d or something," Mina cries into the girls shoulder, clutching her tighter. The girl winces, pulling away and hissing in pain. Mina looks down at her, then winces apologetically. "Sorry about that Ochako hun, you kinda freaked me out a bit, ya know?"

The girl, Ochako, smiles understandingly. "It's okay Mi- ah," She gasps, pulling her arm closer to her body. Mina glances down at her worriedly, putting a hand on her shoulder. 

Mina looks up at me pleadingly, and I sigh, putting my bat back in its' holster. "Fine, we can take her back," I grumble, and she smiles gratefully at me. I walk back towards the entrance, retrieving the bag of supplies. I turn to find Mina carrying a passed out Ochako on her back. 

She's clinging to her like a fucking Koala with one arm. impressive.

I shrug, exiting the shop and holding the door open for Mina, and her... friend? 

Girlfriend? I don't know.

We walk for about 5-10 minutes before I hear footsteps. Lots of them. Shuffling, messy footsteps, coming straight toward us.

I look back at Mina to see she also has a worried expression on her face. Suddenly, her eyes widen in horror, and her body goes rigid. "B-bakugou..." she stutters out, raising a shaky hand to point past me. I slowly turn to look, and my heart plummets into my stomach at the sight.

Zombies.

Tens, hundreds, maybe thousands of zombies.

There rotting carcasses crashing into eachother as they limp toward us, there jaws unhinging and snapping shut as if they can already feel our flesh between there decayed teeth. I grab Mina by the arm, pulling her in the opposite direction as fast as I can.

"Were dead..." She mumbles, and I scrunch my eyes shut, denying what I already know is our sealed fate.
