Sirius Black has always been a charming bastard. Always gets what - and who - he wants. He certainly has no trouble with getting attention; whether it be good or bad, that doesn't matter to him. He is a troublemaker at his best and an intimidating son of a bitch at his worst. Son of a bitch is a phrase that he uses to describe himself often. After all, if you met old Walburga Black, you'd not hesitate to agree. She is a nasty wizard in all possible definitions of the combination of words. A blood purist and a pureblood. She considers her lineage royalty. Granted, they were not actually, but her kids were to behave as such. Her wickedness had never rubbed off on Sirius. He is a hyper, mischievous boy. He is referred to as a blood traitor. If you asked me, I'd say it was out of spite for his mother, though he genuinely liked people. He also wanted to be liked, and discrimination was not a good method to do so. I reckoned he so desperately wanted the attention on him at all times due to his mother's distaste towards him. He was never shy to talk about his family history. Especially now that he had been disowned. He walked out on them to live with James Potter last year. The story hurt my heart deeply. He was always so pleasant and graceful, he deserved much better than the treatment he had gotten from his family.
James Potter is the main character. The leader of the pack. Well-known and generally well-liked. He could be quite a big head sometimes, but he has definitely mellowed out over the years. The ladies were certainly all over him as much as they were Sirius. James, however, has had his heart set on one woman through his time at Hogwarts. Right before the summer had started he finally managed to win her over. Severus Snape was extremely displeased when Lily Evans, his childhood friend, and long-term love interest, chose Potter over himself. He resorted to a foul, slimy person as a result. He had called Lily a slur openly. All of the boys had taken it upon themselves to make Snivellous's life a living hell after that point. The word "pack" could not describe the "Marauders" better. The four boys and I, and now Lily, always stuck together. We did everything together and stuck up for each other as if our lives depended on it. James has very kind parents, and wealthy ones at that. They are rather old but never bitter. They were more than happy to take Sirius in. Potter is a pure-blood like Sirius. He too does not believe in the purist mindset, especially considering his adoration for Lily.
Lily Evans is the girl of the group. She is kind and gentle. She is the moderator. Always wanting balance with anyone she comes in contact with. She is also the newest addition to the group. She is a muggle-born thus labeling her as a "mudblood." At least in a blood purist's eyes. That word is a filthy, rotten thing to call someone, yet it rolled off of Snape's tongue without hesitation. Her heart shattered when that happened. She did understand to an extent. He was jealous, he was hurt, and he felt betrayed. James and Severus had been rivals for quite some time. Snape of course taking the rivalry more seriously than James (or the other Marauders for that fact.) I have taken quite a liking to Lily since she started spending more time with us. I spend a lot of my time with her. Her patience and understanding made her easy to talk to. Plus she is not one to endlessly taunt you when in private. She, Remus Lupin, and I hang out in a group of three quite often. Remus quickly took Severus's place as her best friend after the incident, and it makes sense that they're so close.
Remus Lupin is a werewolf. Of course, none of us judge him for it. He had worried about what we would think of him when we found out. He thought we would abandon him. It isn't his fault that he's this way, and it took forever for him to believe that that's how we see it. After all, he hadn't asked to be that way. I adore Remus. He is sweet and intelligent. He talks smoothly and with thought. He is captivating to me. I have no idea why he doesn't have people fawning over him the way they do James and Sirius because, in my opinion, he is the most attractive of the boys in our group. His scars give him a ruggedly handsome look. They make him unique and to me, he is extremely beautiful. I never try to make moves on him out of respect for our friendship. Although I also figure he and Black will end up together. They've acted like a couple since the day Remus told us he's a werewolf. Sirius is James's best friend, but he never leaves Rem's side. Padfoot has to be the most loyal person I have ever met. He may be a player and a heartbreaker but he has never cheated and I respect that about him. It was Sirius's idea for us to illegally become Animagi in our 5th year to make Moony more comfortable. That's how we got our nicknames. James is Prongs as he becomes a stag. Sirius is Padfoot since he takes the form of a dog that was much like an urban legend he had heard as a kid. Remus is Moony because he transforms when there is a full moon. I am Thumper because I transform into a bunny and the boys said that I look like the rabbit from the muggle movie I had shown them, Bambi, when I'm in that form. Then lastly, Peter is Wormtail due to the fact that he becomes a rat.
