When you've first set eyes on him, you knew. He was the one. It didn't bother you in the slightest that he was a Duke while you were a Princess.
He was perfect.
Your first meeting with him didn't even occur until after your debut. But you've had your eye on him at the age of 6.
He looked professional as he sat under the cherry tree, reading a book. You just couldn't bring yourself to go up to him knowing your mother would beat you up for leaving her side.
Ever since then, you'd go straight to the tree after your sessions in hopes that he would be there. He never came back.
You only ever see him come to the palace once a month and even then, you didn't face the courage to go up to him.
That's until he asked you for a dance at your ball.
It felt like a fairytale to you. Was he actually interested, or only doing it to show kindness because his father asked?
You didn't care. You've already fallen for him hard enough.
Especially when you knew that your were fated to be together.
