Before time began, there was the Cube. We know not where it comes from, only that it holds the power to create worlds and fill them with life. That was how our race was born. For a time, we lived in harmony, but like all great power, some wanted it for good, others for evil. And so began the war - a war that ravaged our planet until it was consumed by death, and the Cube was lost to the far reaches of space.   Lilly's pov

"Okay Mr. Witwicky your up"  Mr. Hosney said then he went back to his desk and sat down. Sam grabbed his bag dumping his project on the desk "sorry I got a lot of stuff" With Venoms enhanced hearing I heard Trent say to Mikaela "Watch this" "So for my geneology project-" Sam started but got hit in the head with a rubber band "can I eat him?"  Venom asks, "No" I respond

  Venom starts to grumble a little, "so I can eat miles?" Venom questioned 

"You can't just go around killing people!" I say under my breath looking around in annoyance. "But he hits on us! And I don't like it" Venom whines like a small child in my head slowing beginning to give me s headache with just how loud he's being.

"I don't either but he's my brothers friend we have to deal with him, not eat him" I write down the dates I haven't put in my planner yet for assignments

"class responsibility" Mr. Hoseny said standing up and pointing at the class he sat back down 

 "so for my family geneology report I decided to do it on my great great grandfather who's a famous man captain Archibald Witwicky very famous explorer in fact he was one of the first to explore the arctic circle" Sam said and grabbed a map of the circle showing it to the class "which is a big deal in 1897 he took 41 brave sailors straight into the arctic shelf...." Sam said "like this sextant here fifty bucks" Sam said the class laughed.

 I groan putting my head in my hands we are never getting that car."I agree." Venom says "These are pretty cool they're our grandfathers glasses" Sam says looking at me "Anyway I haven't quite gotten them appraised yet but they've seen many cool things" Sam said lifting them up to show the class 

 "Are you going to sell me his liver Mr. Witwicky? This isn't show and tell this is the 11th grade I don't think your grandfather would be particularly proud of what you are doing" Mr Hosney sighs in annoyance "I know, I know I'm sorry it's just all going towards my car fund" Sam said 

"You tell your folks it's on eBay I take PayPal cold hard cash works to and the compass makes a great gift for a Columbus Day." Sam said ignoring the teacher who was trying to tell him to stop  

"Sam!" Mr. Hosney hissed at my brother quickly growing irritated with his antics

 "I'm sorry! Unfortunately our great great grandfather the genius he was ended up going crazy and psycho drawing these strange symbols in the psycho ward and babbling on about some giant Ice man that he discovered-" Sam says but the bell cuts him off 

 I stop listening to my idiot of a brother and pack my bag. Walking up to Mr. Hosney to hear our grades I stop in front of his desk crossing my arms over my chest

 "So what was my grade" Sam and I ask at the same time. "Well, Lilly you got an A+ and Sam you got a B-" Mr. Hosney leans back taking off his glasses handing me my report card.

She sighs quietly giving her brother a pointed look before gently smacking him upside the head with her report card. "Good going Samuel." She scoffs before walking out of the classroom to meet their father at the front of the school.

 "So what did you get?" He asks as I put my stuff down in the back of his small convertible "Well I got an A+ and Sam got a B-" I said as I put my seat belt on

"Well what is he doing now?"  Dad asks looking around for my brother with a confused expression and my irritation gets the better of me when I reply "How should I fucking know?"

 "Young lady watch your language" my dad says with a pointed glare and I shift down in my seat

 " YES! YES! YES!" Sam's enthusiasm gets my attention and I sit up slightly watching as he runs over waiving a paper in his hand before hopping into the front seat and throwing his bag in the back the heavy item hits my stomach and I groan quietly, glaring at him with a heated gaze.

 "So what did you get?" Dad asks changing the subject before I can yell at my brother "An A- but it's still an A though!" Sam replied happily waving around his paper "Hold on hold still I can't see it" Dad says trying to look at his paper as Sam holds it out

"so..?" Sam and I ask at the same time our expressions filled with hope "Okay it's an A!" dad says with a small smile and shrug "YES!" Sam yells punching the air happily as dad starts driving away.
