The small knight stares for a while into the eyes of they guess the Goddes. Before they could think of a way to react their sibling spoke.

"You barely changed, just a small bit taller. I thought you died... that it was my fault."

"Ghost I can translate if you let me into your mind, it's not a true voice but you can communicate with us atleast."

Ghost takes a moment to consider their options, they can let her in and risk getting infected and saving their sibling but on the other side they can finally communicate without charades. In the end they choose to atleast try letting the Goddes speak for them.

As soon as they gave permission a new kind of brightness filled their mind, it hurted a little bit because of their void nature buf they've gone through worse.

"Don't worry child, my light won't reach further and can be pulled back whenever you wish so."

Alright, I guess. It kind of hurts though... but atleast I don't have to perform charades. Dad tought me signing too but idk if you both speak that?

"Not that I know, but we'll be stuck here for a while so maybe you can atleast teach Hollow since I have a voice, I'll just look with them to learn what symbols mean so I know what you both say to me."

The Goddess felt a pull on her wing and stepped back to Hollow their presence. They pointed to their head and to her as if to ask if she can hear their thoughts too.

"Yes I can hear you too, quite a bit clearer since we share a body."

I have an idea on how to atleast get out of the chains. What if Ghost uses my nail to cut them? We'd atleast could help them find a way out of the temple.

"That is actually a good idea, I'll ask them. Your nail is next to us right? Since it fell when the chains came down."

I think so, it's not exactly small so Ghost can probably see it quite easily.

"Brace yourself it'll be quite a big drop..."

Radiance had told Ghost about the bindings and which chains to hit to remove them but it still took them some time. There was only one binding left to break but the knight was trying to find a way to cushion the fall of their sibling.

"Ghost, has Shade tought you how to manipulate void yet? Maybe you can catch us with it? There should be plenty to use since the egg is made of void."

They have... I'm just not sure if I  wouldn't accidentally harm you both since I've been trained to use it for combat. Both defence and offence. Maybe I could use a shield to catch you and lower you slowly.

"It'll be okay, the drop isn't high enough to actually harm Hollow and only my spirit is in their mind since my physical body I've left behind a long time ago."

I'll practice it first though because I need to be calm to make constructs with that much strength.

"Take your time child."

At first nothing but a swirl of darkness flickered below the bound vessel but after a few tries the single tendril started to grow and sprout more which weaved together till a dinner plate sized shield was formed.

"Good job! Now you just need to grow it! We both believe in you."

That was the last encouragement Ghost needed as the shield grew to it's full size which was slightly taller than them if it were to be infront of them.

I'll hold it against your feet, when I cut the last chain try to even out the weight because it can easily tilt while in the air.

"It'll be okay sibling, I trust you."

Slowly but surely Ghost lowered them back down, there was the occasional movement of the shield but not enough to startle them and make them lose focus. As soon as Hollow reached the floor safely they jumped in their arms crying for the first time in years.

I was out of the abyss many times.
Couldn't find you.
Couldn't sense you.
Was scared you died.
That the Wyrm had badly hurted you.

I'm here now.
Not alone anymore.
I won't leave again.
Father betrayed me, he said Radiance was evil and the one hurting innocent people.
