Define:
Lift pass- a slip allowing students to use the only elevator in the school so they don't have to cram against other people and push there way up the stairs, risking their life in the process.

Who has a lift pass:
Ivy.

And you can see where this is going already. Being in a lift is like swimming, you should always have someone with you just in case. Well, teachers don't approve of company apparently. Everytime Ivy heads for the lift and I'm right behind her, I'll ask ever so nicely if I may accompany her, only to be shot down and verbally abused. And sometimes I'll smile just as she's getting into the lift, and she'll reach for the button to close the door and act like I wasn't there.

I know that you see me and hear me before you get in the elevator Ivy! You should be grateful someone wants to ensure your safety. But fine. If you want to travel alone, unsafely, be my guest. Just remember, you'll never know when you might need someone in the elevator because it broke down, or the power went out, or maybe you're just lonely. It that moment you'll wish I was there just for company. Keep that in mind the next time you abuse the close door button.
