Chapter 2 The Investigation

They search their pockets and pouches if they had food.

H2O Delirious: Nope!

Cartoonz: Nah!

Ohmwrecker: Negative.

Jared: No.

Jaune: Well, crap. looks like we all don't have.

Moo Snuckel on the radio: Hey, Jaune. I got some biscuits if she likes that.

Marcus on the radio: I got a bottle of water too.

Jared: That should be fine, hand them over. 

Moo Snuckel passes the food first and Marcus passes the water last. Jared got them and handed them to Jaune and Jaune gives the food and drink to the girl Faunus.

Jaune: Here.

The Faunus girl looks at it but looks away.

Jaune: It's alright. Here, take it.

She still looks away from it but soon she slowly turns her head to look at the food and water. She then grabs the biscuit quickly, opens it up fast, and eats it. Jaune was still holding to water so he just places it near to her. They watch her eating the biscuit fast then she opens the bottled water and drinks it.

Cartoonz: Where did you guys find her?

H2O Delirious: She was in a cargo container, they kept her either hostage or prisoner. Jeez, what did they do to her?

Ohmwrecker: I believe we should not know it.

Jared: Ohm is right. Let's give her a rest for now.

They nodded in agreement to let her be.

Timeskip

The Black Hawk is still flying through the air as the travel to home is still far. They're now in the forest area of the united states. H2O Delirious, Cartoonz, and Ohmwrecker fell asleep, the same goes for the Girl Faunus, the only ones who are still awake are Jared and Jaune. Jared was fixing his gun and Jaune was looking at the moon. 

Jaune was wondering if his friends on remnant are okay since he's not around with them, the only thing he's very worried about is his teammates and his family. He feels regret that he ran away. As he continues that, Jared notices it. 

Jared: Hey Jaune, you okay?

Jaune didn't hear him. Jared raised his army and taps Jaune's shoulder.

Jared: Jaune.

Jaune: Huh?

Jared: Are you alright?

Jaune: Oh! Uh, yeah. I'm fine, sir.

Jaune gives a fake smile, but Jared knows he's not alright.

Jared: You don't sound like your fine. Maybe you can tell me what's wrong?

Jaune turns his fake smile to normal as he gives up. He sighs out and finally tells him about his life on the remnant. After explaining Jared felt shocked, sad, and of course mad at what he's been through and the torture he's having.

Jared: Damm... I can't believe what they've done to you.

Jaune: Yeah... I've been through hell from that, but at least I have my friends who protected me. But I fucked it up, I ran away so that my problems can be resolved. (sighs) Looks like I made it worse. I consider myself an exile. So much of being a fearless leader.

Jared: Don't say that Jaune. Your not an exile, your a hero like us. You're not alone anymore.
