"SETTLE DOWN, EVERYONE, settle down!" Professor Sprout shouted into the Charms classoom. Corvus was confused as he looked at his head-of-house from where he sat with Vincent and Ceil in charms. From the looks on their faces, they too looked confused.
"Professor? What's going on?" A Ravenclaw girl asked into the quiet room that was moments ago boisterous and full with people chatting with friends. People nodded their heads in agreement to her question, obviously curious.
"We're about to answer your question, Gerad." Professor Sprout walked to Professor Flitwick was, as he shared a knowing look with her. What's going on? Corvus thought with a confused frown. Are they a couple?
"Christmas is coming up soon, as you all may know." Was the short response that they received. There was a hint of amusement in Professor Sprout's voice. Corvus still didn't get it.
"And so the Yule Ball is approaching."
Confused and excited whispers flooded throughout the once silent classroom. Everyone was discussing it, whether it be confused or excited. Corvus was one of the very few — actually the only one — that had a dreadful tone.
