Nat and Steve were waiting in front of Fury's office, probably for a new mission.
"Where do you think we're gonna go this time Soldier?" asked Nat.
"I don't know, it's probably another Hydra base though."
"Yeah probably. They're getting boring."
"Yeah, but we still have to take them down."
"Yup, we wouldn't want a war now would we Rogers ?" she asked teasingly.
"No, we wouldn't Romanoff, like we wouldn't want a copy of the Red Room right?"
Teasing each other about their traumas became a thing, but only between them, not all of the Avengers.
"For sure." she smiled.
"Agent Romanoff. Captain Rogers." said Fury. "Come in."
"Alright, party's over." said Nat coming in.

Ten minutes later, Natasha and Steve came out of Fury's office.
"Well, a new Hydra base. We leave in an hour, get ready." ordered Steve walking fast.
"Of course soldier." she teased.
Her smirk didn't last for too long though.
She stopped walking and only a few seconds later, she fell on the ground.
"Tasha!" Steve ran next to Natasha.
"I need a medic, Fury's floor. Agent Romanoff is down." he said through the SHIELD comms.
"Rogers ! What happened?!" asked Fury.
"I don't know, she fainted. I only have a weak pulse." Steve precised through the comms. "Come on Tasha, what's up with you?"
"Please step away!" ordered a medic rushing in.
Steve did as he was told, reluctantly.

They waited, and waited, and waited for two hours before having any updates. Pepper, Tony and Clint were now with Steve and Fury. Bruce was in there with the medic team.
"Her serum's intoxicating her body. She needs a new shot of it while we find a way to get it out." said Bruce.
"Well, give her a new shot!" yelled Clint.
"It's not that simple. The Red Room had a crappy repliqua of Steve's serum. We can't do it. Each widow must have a different serum because they couldn't have the exact same one each time."
"What if we give her mine? Could it work?"
"We have to do tests, but maybe. Come and give us blood please."

"So? Can I guve her my serum?"
"We don't know, we have to do 3 days of tests to be sure." said Tony.
"What's gonna happen to her now?"
"We're gonna put her in isolation 'til she gets better."
"I'm cold..." was the first thing Nat said when she woke up. "I'm cold..."
"What?" asked Clint. "Tasha you can't get cold, what are you talking about?"
"I'm so cold... Help me."
"Can someone bring me a damn blanket?!" asked Clint. "Tasha, don't fall back asleep, not yet. Please, Lila needs you. Nate! Cooper! They need you. I need you. Please!..."
"Feel the blood- in my body. Help me... It's cold..."
"Hey, hey, Nat, we're going to put you in isolation but-"
"You're letting me down again? I'm sorry..."
"We're not letting you down. We'll be right behind that door. Tasha, you're not alone. I love you." said Steve. "I- uh- we, we love you."
"I'm cold..."
"We're gonna put you in isolation now Natasha." warned Bruce.
They brought her to isolation and Clint and Steve were watching her through the glass.
After a few hours she got up.
"Natasha, go back to bed, you're too weak to walk." ordered Tony through comms.
"Let me out."
"Nata-"
"Let. Me. Out. LET ME OUT!" she yelled in Russian.
"Why is she speaking Russian?" asked Tony
"Tasha, calm down. It's for your own good."
"Let me out! I got out once, I'll do it again if I have to!" she continued, still in Russian.
"Natasha. Go back to bed."
"LET ME OUT! I DON'T WANT TO WORK FOR YOU ANYMORE! LET! ME! OUT!" she yelled, still in Russian, banging at the glass doors.
"She thinks she's with the red room." stated Steve. "Clint, do you know what they did to her?"
"They tortured her, a lot, she must have been tortured in this way."
"We have to get her out then!"
"We can't Steve, if she comes out, her immune system won't fight for her. She'll die."
"PLEASE! PLEASE LET ME OUT! Ple-" she said before she passed out.
"Tony one of us have to go in there." said Steve. "Let me go."
"No, with your serum you don't feel when you're sick, you can't. Clint's going to go." explain Bruce.
"Okay, well open the door." said Clint.
"No, you put that on and- okay, you don't have a fever, go!" said Tony.

"Okay, let me in."
"You have ten minutes max."
Clint nodded and walked next to Nat who was still on the ground.
"Tasha, Tasha wake up. It's not the Red Room, it's me, Clint."
"Let me- out..."
"Tasha, you need to stay here, they're working on your serum, but you need to calm down and rest. You're extremely weak."
"They'll get me back- if I'm too weak. I can't be weak Clint. I can't."
"They won't get you while you're here. Come on, let's get you back to bed." He said helping her up.
"Clint..."
"Tasha?"
"I can't- I can't breathe..." she said sitting on the bed.
"Bruce, can I do something to help with her breathing?"
"We're gonna put oxygen in a few seconds, put it on her mouth and nose and try to get her breathing better, make it fast, you have to come out."
"I'll take as long as I need to make sure she won't die from the lack of oxygen!" Clint growled taking the oxygen. "Okay, Tasha, try and breathe in this."
She did.
"Better?"
She shook her head no.
"Guys, she doesn't have three days. She needs it now." said Clint.
"Clint, lay her down, come out. We're going to give her Steve's serum." ordered Tony.
"Wait! It's not safe!" rejected Bruce.
"It's our only chance, if she doesn't take it, she'll die for sure. I'm not letting her die when I have the possibility to save her!" yelled Steve.
"Okay, sorry."
They got it and injected her the serum.
"How long do we have to wait now?"
"A few minutes if it kills her."
"And if it saves her?"
"Same. Just wait Capsicle." said Tony.

They waited for an hour before Natasha woke up again.
"Let- me- out!..." she said in English this time.
"Natalie, how are you feeling?"
"Like I could punch you in the face if you don't let me out!" she said trying to get up.
"Glad you're back Red, but stay on your bed. You're still extremely weak."
"Thank you guys."
"No problem."
After a few hours, she got cleared to go out, but no training for at least a week.
They were all doing their own stuff but all in the living room when they all heard a loud bang.
"Natasha!" shouted Steve.
"Bruce! What's up with her? You said she was cleared!"said Clint.
"She was, it must be the exhaustion taking over, she'll be fine." he said checking her pulse and all.
"Okay, okay." Steve said calming down.
He carried her to his room since hers was locked and laid her down in his bed.
"Steve?" she asked confused as she woke up.
"Hey Nat."
"Why am I in your room?"
"Your exhaustion took over, you fainted."
"Oh- okay thank you." she said getting up.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"In my room?"
"Okay, then I'm coming with you."
"Why?"
"'cause if you faint again, someone needs to check your vitals."
"I'm not going to faint again."
"We' ll see, but I'm still staying with you."
"Fine, but we stay here then."
"Okay, no problem."
Steve made a good call, she fainted two more times that day. And it kept going 'til she got enough rest.
"Thank you Steve, for everything."
"No problem Nat, I'll do it all again if I have to."
She smiled.
And he smiled back. Wanting to tell her how much he loved her.
He didn't though, too risky... For now....
