Everyone had a good time together throughout the weekend. They went to a festival, concert, movie theater, and so much more. Everything was going well, but Alluka still kept the thought of what she was going to do. She knew that seeing Kalluto was the best option to do, plus, what would he think if they didn't show up?
Monday arrived, and she had finally made her decision.
- Zoldyck Estate Entrance | [Alluka's POV]
I finally came back home after thinking to myself. Telling Onii-Chan was a hard task, but I could see that he was upset too about Kalluto. He agreed for me to go and visit him, but said he would come along since this was a family problem. I'm glad he agreed.
We get greeted by Mr. Zebro and go inside his security booth to have tea with him. We talk all about our adventures, and mostly have fun. Then, Onii-Chan asks about what our family is doing about the situation.
"Well... Master Zeno and Silva both are unworried, Master Kikyo is disappointed, and Master Milluki and Illumi are both worried. I am indeed worried as well," he confesses.
I felt shocked, how could Mom, Dad, and Grandpa not worry for him? I feel sick knowing they are being so selfish!
Onii-Chan puts his hand on mine. "Don't worry, Alluka. We'll go make sure he is okay. I promise," he reassures. I smile back and thank him for calming me down. He could understand me and it's amazing how he could!
| 1 Hour Later . . . |
An hour passed by before we heard the gates open. Out walked out Illu-nii, clearly upset. He looked at us with a weird face. I'm not sure what it was, since he didn't show that much emotion at all...
"Alright, follow me. We're going to the airport," he said, turning away and disappearing. We said goodbye to Mr. Zebro and turned to the road. Onii-Chan picked me up and used his God-speed to catch up with him. I've gotten used to the little zap whenever he summons it. Also, it's really fun traveling fast and seeing things much faster than normal!
It is going to take a while to get there, so maybe I'll just nap until we arrive...
- Mitigate Hospital | [Kalluto's POV]
It has been a few days now, being trapped in this room all day, and pretending to still be sleeping. I've gotten bored of this place, and want to explore outside.
That's why I've decided to make a plan to escape...
It was pretty simple:
1. Wait till most of the employees leave for the night.
2. Get my makeshift rope (made from many bed sheets I stole from those supply rooms) and head towards the window.
3. Open the window, tight end of the rope to the guest chair near it, and throw the rest outside.
4. Get my backpack (stolen from a nurse) and everything I need for my journey.
5. Go out the window and make my way down and ESCAPE!
It took only the past 2 days, but it was all ready. Now, I just have to wait on this bed for them to leave. I'll play with some cards in the meantime.
| 1:00 A.M |
I put on my hospital slippers and jacket I stole from another patient and begun my plan.
The rope was under my bed and some reason the nurses didn't even see it...
I stood on the chair to better reach the window to open. Unfortunately, it was locked and there was no other way to get it opened. So, I balled my hand into a fist and punched the window. The glass shattered and fell everywhere!
Have I always been this strong?!
I tied the end of the rope to this chair and threw the rest outside. Looking down, I knew I didn't make it long enough. It looked like a 4 story jump, but I can't go back now...
I put on my backpack and say one final goodbye to this small, boring room.
Eh, I'm not going to miss it.
I climb over the broken glass and jump down, holding onto the rope. Oh god, I'm falling down too fast! I hold the rope for dear life and put my feet against the hospital's wall. The wall is too slippery for me to stop, so I keep falling.
I try not to scream, but it got really harder as I kept falling from story to story. Soon enough, my feet get caught on the 5th floor. I'm shaking and scared now, maybe this was a bad idea—
NO. No thinking like that now! I'm almost done with escaping, I cannot turn back right now.
I slowly walk down to the end of the rope and look down. It was going to be a rough landing with the bushes, but maybe I'll make it out unharmed.
'I'm going to regret this...' I think to myself as I let go. Pushing off the wall with my legs, I head towards the bushes at a faster rate than which I can react. I brace myself and land on my feet.
Woah... I really am amazing!
I quickly run off to an alleyway nearby and quietly celebrate my escape. Now, I'll explore all around and never be trapped again.
Hooray!
- Hospital Waiting Room | [Alluka's POV]
(9:55 A.M)
Me, Onii-Chan, and Illu-nii sat in the waiting room of the hospital. It looks really nice and classy, so I take my time to walk around and look over it.
"Alright, the Zoldyck Family? Visiting hours have started, so you can come see Kalluto now. He's on Floor 17, room 21," a nurse said, peaking her head out the tall door. We all went to the elevator nearby and waited as it took us up. I looked out of the window side and saw as the outside turned smaller by the second.
We headed down the long hallways and finally reached Kalluto's room. I was full on nervous, and Onii-Chan was too. But, I shook off the feeling. I needed to be brave and see Kalluto.
I opened the door and saw a horrible sight.
The room was a mess. Glass was everywhere, the window was broken, and a blood trail was present from the bed to the open window. We all rushed inside and saw no sight of Kalluto. What had happened?! Did he get kidnapped?
"Hey! Look at this, a rope!" Onii-Chan called out. Both of us looked at a rope tied to a chair. I looked out the window and saw the rope blowing in the wind. It wasn't that long, and left a big missing peace from the end of it to the ground.
"Heh, so he escaped," Illu-nii suddenly said. I gasped.
How?? Wasn't he in a coma? Why did he escape? Is he okay? Where is he now?
Millions of questions spiraled in my mind, and backed up to the other side of the room.
"That doesn't matter. We need to find him!" I suddenly shout. They both looked at me, then at each other. Each had a different expression. One annoyed, the other smiling.
"Please? We don't know if he is even okay! There is no time to fight. We must search right now!" I snapped.
"Fine. Only just this once..." Onii-Chan reluctantly said. We all rushed out of the hospital and went to the main road. He could've gone anywhere, so we had to split up. I decided to take the left, Illu-nii center, and Onii-Chan right. Though he didn't agree to sending me alone, he knew it would be faster to cover more ground.
We all faced our directions and began running.
I was going to find Kalluto, no matter what!
[Alright! Sorry for the wait, some *hell* came up, so I couldn't write this until yesterday...
Luckily, no more *hell* will be next week, so I'll update this as soon as possible!
Alluka, Illumi, and Killua race against the clock to find Kalluto. Who's going to find him first? Let's see next chapter!
