Jennie

The next morning, while I was getting my morning doze of coffee at Starbucks, I caught something or shall I say someone with my eye, the figure is similar to the girl I had one night stand with. I duck my head to hide because I don't want her to see me.

I'm not sure what would be our reaction when we see each other again. It will be very awkward, I'm sure of that.

I adjust my eyeglasses and lower my head down as I tried to escape from the coffee shop. I am not still sure if she was the same girl but nevertheless I felt the need to hide myself. With one last look, I glance at her direction before I got out of the door and then I realize it wasn't her.

Good Lord! Why I'm being paranoid?

SOUTHEAST ASIA MEDICAL CENTER - LOS ANGELES

"Good morning Dr. Kim."

I turn to look at the person who greeted me.

"Good morning too Dr. Kim." I greeted back with a huge smile that turned out to be a chuckle when we realized that I end up copying what she said since we both have the same surname.

But we're not related though.

Dr. Kim Jisoo is one of the doctors in this hospital to whom I was assigned. She is the Head Cardiologist and the youngest member of the Board.

"You look radiant today. Did you have a good day off?" She said as she plastered her signature friendly smiling at me.

"Yes. Thank you."

Dr. Kim is actually quite nice. All of us love to work with her because she is very smart and professional. She is also very friendly with the staffs. No wonder why everyone love to work with her.

"Good. So, you're in my service today. Ready?" She ask, handing the chart to me.

"Be prepare, Dr. Kim." She added.

"Always Doc." I smile genuinely.

Thank goodness I am at her service. So I look down on the charts and began to study the patient's files.

After studying the patient's files, I went straight to Dr. Kim's office. She was patiently waiting for me and stands up when she sees me.

"Ready?"

I nod.

"Let's make some rounds then but I have to warn you though, this patient of mine is quite.... Hmmm something."

"Okay. I'll be prepared then." I said, smiling as I follow her.

I wonder what she was talking about. Who is it? And what is something in it?

We walked side by side talking randomly on how my 5 months of stay here in Los Angeles goes.

We talked about homesickness and Seoul since she too is a Korean Native but her family is already settled her in LA when she was 16yrs old. Now, she's 32.

We stopped in front of a private room with a name tag of "Brüschweiler" in the door.

"Ready?" She asked for the second time and as give a nod as an answer, she gently swing the door open.
