Her hair was as red as the Devils skin.
Her patience short like her heels.
She had no time, she had no time.
She left her mum without a tear.
She had too much to fear.
No one knew, no one knew.
She kept quite, didn't even tell just a few.

She packed her case
Hoping to not leave a trace
Her family didn't know till that night.
That she'd left because she feared having to fight.
No one knew where she was, nor did they try.
They said 'runaway, that's all there is to say'
I wish there was a light, at the end of the tunnel, I pray.
Hoping that my best friend will return one day.

She left in fear of a scary gang.
Knowing shed end up dead.
She packed her case and fled.
She saved herself, while she still could
I'm proud of my best friend, red was her name
She desired money, a family and fame.
Let's just hope this isn't the end of red.
That she will one day return to her cosy family bed.
