you meet her parents

you were nervous, to say the least. Ariana, your girlfriend of two months, was taking you to meet her parents. you knew they were supportive but you didn't know how they'd react. you were hoping Frankie would be there to ease the situation a little bit. you got out of the car, and walked towards the house, holding her hand. when you got to the door Ariana turned towards you. "you sure you're okay with this?" she asked you one last time. you smiled at her and nodded your head. she knocked on the door, and you heard footsteps getting closer.

Ariana squeezed your hand as her mom opened the door, immediately greeting both of you with a hug.
"Y/N it's so nice to finally meet you! ari talks about you all the time" her mom says and you see Ariana blushing. "it's nice to meet you too, mrs. grande. you have a beautiful house" you say and get a chuckle from her. "thank you dear. and it's Joan to you. now get inside, it's cold" she walks in, you and Ariana following close behind. "she likes you more then she likes me" ari whispers in your ear and you giggle, kissing her cheek.

you get to the dining room and relief washes over you as you see Frankie there. you have met him before, and it was nice to see a friendly face. Ariana sat down, you following right after and sitting next to her. you spend the night eating and talking, and by the end of the night you felt so much better.

at some point you have all moved to the living room and Ariana sat you on her lap, fiddling with your fingers as you were all having a nice conversation. from here to then she would kiss your neck or your cheek and you would feel like your heart was beating way too fast.

you began to get tired, and Ariana didn't fail to notice. she called it a night and you two left, but not before her parents made you promise you'd come back. she helped you in the car and as she started driving, you held her hand in yours and slowly fell asleep, feeling safe as you knew you were with her.
