(Ten Rings base, cave place)
"i'm sure they are looking for you, Stark" Ho Yinsen said to Tony who was staring off into the distance a miserable look on his face.
"that's not what i'm worried about" Stark said not looking up. Yinsen sat beside him
"then what, Mr Stark?" he asked
"i have a daughter, she is 8, i promised her i would be back soon" Tony said looking down.
"tell me about her"the older man said, a small smile on his face. Tony sighed
"i don't think that is going to help me here!" Tony said getting annoyed and standing up to pace "its not just that i miss her, she is sick she needs me to help her i have been gone for who knows how long if her reactor isn't working she will be miserable..... she could even die and i'm not there to be her hero this time" He said a tear sliding down his dirty cheek. Yinsen's eyes teared up as well he stood to and grabbed Tony by his shoulders.
"still tell me, i want to know what she is like, please" Ho Yinsen said. Tony sighed
"in my eyes she's a absolute Princess I couldn't have asked for anyone better, she funny and sweet, adorable she is always there for me, she's my best friend I wouldn't wanna do anything without her, she makes the funniest jokes and then laughs at them even if nobody else does." Tony smiled slightly imagining her laughing to a dad joke he made.
"she laughs at other peoples jokes even when there not funny, she is incredibly sarcastic my goodness let me tell you she gets that from me. She's sassy thats from her mom and me and she never stops talking, not to mention absolutely brilliant some of the things she says, i have to stop and think are you really 8? I just never want her to grow up.

(back at Stark house in Malibu)
Pepper rushed in to Blake's room as the girl started coughing again. She handed her a glass of water and sat her up.
"your okay baby, its okay" Pepper soothed. A big tear rolled down Blakes face, as she tried to catch her breath. "hey, hey come on Blake its okay!" she said as the little girl closed her eyes "Blake!" Pepper yelled, Blakes eyes rolled back into her head and she went limp "HAPPY!" Pepper screamed. Heavy foot step sounded up the stairs as Happy rushed in.
"Pepper she is breathing fine and she has a pulse calm down" Happy said cheeking Blakes vital signs. Pepper breathed a sigh of relief and started pacing.
"Happy, something is really wrong, she needs Tony..if he doesn't come back soon" Pepper choked, she couldn't say it. Happy sighed
"i know Pepper, she is going to be fine im sure Tony will be back in.." he was cut off by Peppers phone ringing
"yes.... Wait you have him! Right now.... oh my god..yes we will be there" she hung up
"what!" Happy said fear evident on his face.
"they found him"

(Airport, or Air base i don't remember)
Pepper stood watching as the Air Force plane landed, Happy was a few feet behind her by the car.
The plane slowly opened and Tony walked out leaning on Rhodes for support. Pepper relaxed as she saw him. He was slightly bloody and had his arm in a sling but otherwise looked fine as his eyes scanned the few people waiting for him.
He walked up to Pepper who had a few tears running down her cheeks. Tony realized someone was missing.
"where the hell is my daughter" he asked, Pepper looked down "Pepper where is my daughter!" Tony said raising is voice.
"she is at home Tony, she sick, i don't know if she is okay but something is wrong " Pepper whispered looking down. Tony's eyes hardened
"Happy get me home in ten minutes!" he yelled as he rushed towards the car "Pepper i want a conference meeting scheduled for 5 tonight and i want 2 cheeseburgers delivered to the house." Stark said getting in to the car, Pepper rushed after him. "Hogan drive" he said

Tony rushed into his house and ran up the stairs, Pepper following him. He stopped outside her door and squeezed his eyes shut when he heard the terrible coughing sound from his daughters room
"how long has she been doing that?" he asked, looking at Pepper
"about 3 days, she didn't start getting sick until last saturday then it just got worse" she replied, Tony took a deep breath and mumbled
"be her hero Tony" then opened the door, he immediately ran to Blakes side. the girl was pale and her blue eyes looked dull her cheeks were bright red but she was cold and shaking
"hey, daddys here Princess daddy's here" he said Blake smiled a bit
"daddy!" she said horsley
"don't talk baby, shh" Tony told her, he scooped her off her bed and headed into his lab, Pepper and Happy layed Tony's jaket on a table and Tony set his daughter down on it then ran around the lab getting things he needed, he grabbed a white thing and Pepper said
" what is that?" Tony ignored her for a second
"central diffuser" he came back to Blake was who was once again unconscious "alright, this might get a bit gross so uh Pepper don't puke on me or anything" Tony said
"uh right sir" Pepper responded. She didn't puke but she sure had nightmares.

alright guys i am already working on another other chapter it will probably be out today or tonight.
I was just going to say thank you for all people who have got this book I really appreciate it and also the timeline when we get farther along into the movies will be a little messed up with her age and stuff so if that does happen I know so don't get mad at me and I'm sorry!
