Chapter 1: Time Leaper

My name is Horace, a simple 20 year old college student, living a simple life in this simple world. But the word simple doesn't suit me at all. Why? Because I've been hiding something that only I knows.

As my name implies, yes. I'm connected to time. This might be unrealistic but it's true. There are things in this world that can't be explain by science and can only be seen in fictional stories.

It all happened way back when I was just a kid...

*Flashback 7 years ago*

"Horace, my dear? Are you finished answering your assignments?" My mom asks as she entered my room. My focus is still on my Mathematics problem.

"Not yet, mom, I still haven't finished my math problems yet." I answered and continue answering the questions in my book that's been giving me a headache for quite some time now.

"Be sure to turn off the lights after you're finished ok?"

"Yes mom." I answered and she gave me a peck on my forehead before leaving my room.

"Man this is kinda hard, I'm just a grade 7 student!" I frustratedly mess my hair out of frustration. I don't even have a choice! I need to finish this homework so I can go to sleep early. This quadratic equation is giving me a hard time!

I worked myself up so I could still finish this assignment of mine on time and I could still complete my 8 hours sleep.

After few more hours, I manage to finish on time. I brushed my teeth then head to bed for a good night's rest. I have class early in the morning so I need to rest as much as I could.

It's 5:30 am in the morning, and my class starts at 7:30 am, just like my daily routine, I quickly took a bath and wore of my uniform.

After preparing myself, I went downstairs to greet mom and my siblings.

"Good morning, mom" I greeted her and gave her a kiss in the cheeks.

"Good morning, dear. Come and eat your breakfast so you can brush your teeth and go to school." Mom greeted me back so I sit on the table with them and started eating.

I have a younger brother who's sitting infront of me, and an older sister who's sitting beside mom. Dad's not around cause he's busy with his work as a researcher and he's out of town right now.

Just like normal, we just talked about how we plan to spend our day while eating. We always eat together because mom often tell us that we always have to communicate to strengthen our bond as a family.

After eating, I casually brushed my teeth and went to school beforebI got late.

"I'll be checking your assignments today and this will actually be graded as your surpirse quiz, I'll give you your scores before class dismissal." Our teacher announced before leaving our class so all of us classmates were surprised. None of us saw that coming...

After a few hours of class on various subjects, our papers arrived in the classroom and it looks like it was already graded by our teacher

One by one, our class representative handed out our papers, and after I received my paper, I slowly looked at my score. I feel like the disappointment is already visible on my face after I only corrected 7 out of the 30 questions.

"How questions did you answered correctly, Horace?" Shawn asked me, he's my buddy since grade 1 so I'm comfortable with him, but having a 7 out of 30 score is still embarrassing.
