Don't pick up... don't pick up...don't pick up..

Catra's phone had been going off for the past few hours. What the hell is so important that she had to contact me?  She looked at her old, beat up phone sadly as it stopped ringing. She tried to convince herself that this was good. If Adora wanted to leave her, why did she have to talk to her?

And although she tried hard to convince herself of these things, she wasn't so sure. What if something terrible happened, and she needs your help? She told herself.

"She deserves it. She knew I couldn't afford to go to her stupid, fancy college." And what did Adora do? Go without her.

It was their life goal to stay together forever. Through thick and thin.

It was the bond that couldn't be broken.

But Adora had broken that bond. She left. It was her choice, and she had to deal with the consequences. They both did.

But still, some part of her, deep down inside Catra's heart, wanted to forgive Adora. She wanted to go back to the days of teasing, playing...when they got the chance.

Both Catra and Adora were put into Samara Weaver's orphanage at a very young age. Adora had been there a few months prior to her arrival, but it was her who helped her, showed her around when she was only a little kid, they both were. Adora was the friend and is some rare cases, the parent that Catra never had.

But recently, some of her old feelings for Adora resurfaced, and Catra didn't know how to feel. I'm supposed to hate Adora... Right?  But she just couldn't bring herself to cut Adora out of her life completely.

"Ugh, fine. I'll call her back. But she better not be asking for any favors."

"Hello?" Catra sighed into the phone. "Oh! Uh, hi Catra!" Adora didn't expect Catra to answer. She had been ignoring her for the past few months. "Don't act surprised, you've been blowing up my phone lately, and if I didn't answer soon enough, you would just keep bothering me."

Catra didn't seem as mad as Adora thought she'd be. Bitter? Yes. Might murder her if she calls again? No. Adora understood that Catra might, and probably would say no to her offer but it didn't hurt to try.

"Well, I've been calling cause I had something to ask you." Catra rolled her eyes. "I told myself if this was a favor, I'd hang up." "It's not a favor, it's more of a request."

Aren't those the same thing?

"Fine, what's your request?"

"Ummm..."

"Spit it out, or I'm hanging up!"

"Fine! I'm... goingonaroadtripacrossEtheriaformyspringbreakandIwantedyoutocomewithme!

"English would be preferred."

Adora took a deep breath. She didn't think Catra would be understanding, but she had been rambling ever since she was little.

"Sorry. I'm going on a road trip across Etheria for my spring break, and I wanted you to come with me."

Catra was speechless. She was honestly expecting Adora to ask her for like, some money or something. She wasn't expecting this.

"Why would we ever go anywhere together again?"

Adora expected this. She expected Catra to not be on board with it. But she wanted to make amends, and not go on like this for the rest of her life. She couldn't forget about Catra, she knew that for a fact.

"Look, I know we may never be able to be friends again, and that's fine. I'm not inviting you on this trip to rekindle anything between us. But I really don't want to have to feel regret and pain every time I think about you, and I'm pretty sure you feel the same way too. So after this, if you want to go back to ignoring me, go ahead. I'm not going to stop you. But I want to do one more fun thing with you before I do. So please, can you do this with me?"

Catra tried, tried desperately for a reason, any reason to say no. To hang up and forget this ever happened. But even Adora's voice did something to her. And she didn't have to try to be friends with her. She just to get through one week, seven days with this girl, and then she could go back to ignoring her.

Plus, she's super bored being stuck in the house all the time, so... not a bad offer.

"Fine, I'll think about it."

"Wait, really!?"

"Don't make me regret it."

Adora was practically glowing with excitement. "You won't, I promise!" Catra rolled her eyes and even smirked a little.

We'll see about that.

Hello! I started writing this about a month ago but got stuck with writer's block, so I had to come back to it. But honestly, I love this story so far, and I hope you do too. I think there will be seven chapters, but there may be more, I don't know yet. But anyway, thank you for reading!
