The door was pulled inwards just as my fist raised to knock. "Oh." I flashed a smile and stepped back to let her into the hallway. "Hi." She looked absolutely stunning. Her shoes were simple and her makeup basic, but her hair looked like it took forever and the dress was amazing. "You look awesome." I breathed.

"Thanks," Wrapping her arms around me, she pulled me into a hug. I held her tight. After a moment, she pulled away, giggling. "Sorry. I would kiss you, but, um," her eyes didn't meet mine, "lip gloss." I laughed at that.

And then she was kissing me anyway.

I raised an eyebrow, even though I knew she wouldn't see. "I thought you were wearing lip gloss?" I murmured against her lips.

"Who cares?" She replied.

Taking a deep breath, I drew her closer. "I love you."

Her entire body went rigged. "W-what?" She whispered.

"I love you." She stayed frozen in my arms, not pulling away but not exactly saying it back. I continued talking - it was to late to shut up, anyway. "Your smile is the brightest thing in the world, your laugh is the only thing I ever need to hear, your eyes are-"

Pressing a finger against my lips, she grinned. "I love you to."
