Camp Bromance// DNF

Welcome To Camp

CW: Swearing, alcohol and vomit.

The sun casted a luminescent glow through the cracks in the clouds and poured through the window. Light rattling of the engine sent vibrations through his body. Rows of students filled the air with noisy chatter. George's social anxiety was screaming at him to jump out of the window. He was seriously considering it but he would rather avoid the embarrassment and a few broken bones. Focusing his eyes far into the distance until it began to blur kept George calm until the bus came to a halt.

The doors swung open letting the fresh breeze waff through the air and drown out the smell of sweaty teenagers. He waited for the bus to empty before emerging into the damp morning air carrying his large duffle bag full of his camping luggage.

Unlike everyone else George walked to class alone with his head held low avoiding any social interaction. George wouldn't say he is popular, like at all and neither would anyone else at the school. He would be surprised if anyone (besides his few friends) even knew his name. Attention and social interaction with a stranger makes the brunette want to vomit.

At George's previous school a teacher had forced him to stand up and present his model to the class. He vomited on his friend in the front row. George never went back to that school.

Eventually he reached the classroom door which was covered in school fundraising posters . George let out a sigh and wrapped his arms around himself attempting to create some comfort.

Hesitantly he reached a shaky hand towards the door handle and heaved it open. George was met with stuffy air and students hunched over desks glued to their phones. Some were chatting to their friends excited for the school camp. He spotted Dream towards the back of the room waving him over, inviting him to sit next to him. A relieved sigh left George's lips, grateful for his friend he took the seat.

Dream has been one of George's closest friends since he moved schools about 6 years ago. Dream was asked to tour George around the school and after George  warmed up to him they just clicked. They both weren't that popular but it never really mattered to them. Being around Dream made George feel safe and made him forget about everything else.They could joke around but still have deep conversations without it being awkward which they were both great full for.

"Heyyy Georgie excited for camp?" Dreams voice cracked a little from excitement. "Sort of but if I get a bad cabin group I am actually gonna throw hands." George responded while chucking his bag on the floor.
"Sup bitches!" Sapnap jumped into the table and started twerking. George just rolled his eyes while Dream laughed encouraging Sapnap even more.

Mrs Green strolled in with her bright vest and loose jeans with a frown plastered on her face like always. "Sapnap get off the table before I send you home." She scolded. "Shiver me timbers mommy." Sapnap took a seat next to Dream who was close to pissing himself from laughing.

"QUITE." The class was immediately filled with silence. "As you know camp is today, so I hope you all behave or you are going straight home. It's going to be around a 5 and a half hour bus drive to Camp Burg and we will be there for 5 nights." Mrs Green unfolded the paper in her hand and clears her throat. "I bet you are all busting your guts to know the cabin groups so here you go. "

"George, Nick, Clay, Karl and Alex in cabin 1." They all whoop and share some high fives. Relief rushed through George's body, realising some of his nerves. "Riley, Taylor, Monique and Zuri in Cabin 5." The girls let out a squill while some groaned in annoyance. After all the Cabins were read out the students were packed into the buss.

George, Dream, Karl, Sapnap and Quackity took the back seat so they could all sit together. Some people weren't happy about that and tried to make them move but Sapnap just flipped them off. When the bus finally started moving everyone was buzzing with excitement.
