i finally make it to the the front of my house after walking back from a horrible day of school
why horrible?
because i actually went to school
i unlock my front door and i see my big ass golden retriever come running my way so i get in and close the door.
he gives me and big hug like everyday
skylar: hi sparky. i missed you
sparky is his name
after sparky gives me my daily hug, i take off my really dirty air forces and head to the kitchen.
usually my mom is in the kitchen but she wasn't
skylar: mom i'm home. where are you?
mom: in the bathroom
skylar: COMINGGGG
i drop my backpack by the dining table and run to my mom
i love annoying her
i open the bathroom door to see her brushing her teeth so i give her and big hug.
it's been me and my mom since i was 4
my dad left us because he was done trying to take care of a baby. ironic to say that because well he married a white rich woman and had 4 kids which he loves
so he forgot about his black ex and his mixed baby but who cares you know
we got sparky because we felt like we were missing a piece after dad left and it was the best decision my mom made for both of us
sparky is amazing
he got me through many hard nights ever since we got him
my mom spits out her toothpaste and cleans her mouth
mom: baby i gotta go to rehab today
my mom goes to rehab because well after dad left she started using drugs and when i was 10 i found her lifeless on her bedroom floor.
i was traumatized
seeing your mom lifeless on the floor will stick wit you forever. especially since i saw her that young
skylar; okay mom just be careful. since you're gonna go, can i go to the skate park
mom: again?
skylar: mom you know i like skating
mom; fine but don't stay out too late
skylar: neither can you. i know when your rehab ends so mom if you're not hear 30 minutes after it ends i will be thinking the worst
mom: i know. you tell me all the time. but i promise you, i'm clean. and you know that
skylar: i don't know that for sure but i trust you mom. once you're not clean, i will never forgive you
mom; i know but i gotta go now
skylar: if you're not home by 6:30 i will run to you
mom: okay baby. i love you
skylar: i love you too. now gooooo before you're late
mom: okay okay okay i'm leaving
she gives me a hug before she heads to the garage and starts her car
i grab my backpack and head upstairs to my room
of course sparky follows me
i jump on my bed and i take out my homework
my mom has a rule
homework first then skating
sadly i have to obey this rule
i take out my math homework groaning at the fact that i fucking hate math wit a passion
good thing i got photomath. that shit saves me life
i take out my phone and start doing my homework
