Once my dad and Lily are out, i wait a while so i know they're out of the building. I throw on my sweater that was already on my bed. Put on my torn sneakers that match my torn jeans. The choice of whether to wear my bag or not is a difficult choice. Why? Because there's a better chance of getting robbed, i reassure myself that i'd be home before it gets dark. On that note i slip the crossbody purse over my head.  As soon as i opened the door, fear struck me. I kept asking myself, is this a good idea? But i was out and there's no changing my mind now. I doubled checked i locked the door, the thought of how angry my dad would be if our flat got robbed frightens me.

Im walking down the hall and notice a boy, probably around my age walking towards me. I quickly look down. He now knows where i live. There's no one in sight. I'll probably get stabbed.

Nothing, nothing happened. He walked on by. I slightly turn my head to catch a glimpse of this boy. He had a ski hat on, with his hoodie from his jacket pulled over. You could barely see his face.

I didn't know the block that well, but i knew how to get to this tiny shop nearby. They sell clothing, jewlery and sweets.

I spent hours trying stuff on, picking out the jewlery i wanted. Than i realized i forgot my debit card at home, all i had on me was 10 dollars. My stomach started growling, i think that's a sign. I bought a chocolate bar and headed out.

"Oh, no" i sighed

It was dark. I tried not to panick. There were still plenty of people out. It'll be fine. I opened my chocolate bar, eating helps me stay calm. My phone was buzzing, it was Molly. One of my good friends from America.

"How's it going?" She asks

"Ehhh, it's alright."

"Still a loner?" She jokes

"Sadly, yes" I laugh

She caught me up with what's been happening back at home.

"Ok, Molly. I'll talk to you later."

"Bye Sam."

While im crossing the street i see a group of guys ahead. I try to stay calm but i can'thelp but freakout. I recognized one of them, the same boy i saw in the hall. He was on a bike, many sizes too small for him. There were five of them. I could feel them starring. I didn't want to stare back so i kept walking looking down.
