"Y/n? Are you almost finished changing?" Xie lian whined

""Almost, give me a few seconds" i said and then walked out

"How do i look?" I twirled around

"P-p-pretty" nan feng and fu yao said simultaneously while blushing

"Thank you, juniors" i smile while gently patting their heads.

The blush on their faces grew darker.

"Come on, it's almost nightfall. Let's get going" xie lian said

I was in the sedan while nan feng, fu yao and xie lian acted as the groomsmen.

Until I heard singing.

"Do you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"You don't hear the singing?"

"Then it's most likely directed to you, royal princess"

"What is it saying" xie lian asked

"Something about brides smiling. I think it captured brides who smile on the wedding"

"What expression are you making right now?"

"I've been smiling the whole time since i got on"

Then there was a growling sound.

i could see vaguely a man in red.

he reached his hand into the sedan, inviting me to grab his hand.

i hesitantly took his hand and walked with him down the ghastly road, as he held a red umbrella on the other hand.

i see him stepping on the formation, dispersing instantly as he stepped on it.

"who is this person, he isn't ordinary if he can instantly break a formation this difficult in a matter of a few seconds."

The crimson bean adorned his braid as he leaned over, about to lift my veil.

I pushed him away and he immediately dissolves into silver butterflies.

i looked in awe.

"so pretty"

Then, the 2 juniors ran over and said "royal princess, Xie lian found the 17 missing brides but he's being attacked by them!"

i quickly went to the temple where Xie lian was, fighting the corpses.

I looked over to see xiao ying, a bandaged boy and the group of men from earlier getting surrounded.

i took out my sword and it flew over to the corpses, slashing them.

"Get out of here!"

As my guard was down, xuan ji, who was fighting xie lian, attacked me from behind but i wasn't the one that got hurt.

It was Xiao Ying.

i quickly slashed her limbs, disabling her.

At this very moment, heaven's reinforcements arrived with the help of Nan Feng.

they detained Xuan Ji and i rushed over to see Xiao Ying bleeding excessively. The bandaged boy was sobbing as he tried to tell her to hang on without speaking.

"don't worry, you won't die. i'll save you, no matter what"

"i'm about to die, don't waste your time. thank you for helping our village. please take care of this boy if you can" xiao ying said as she drew her last breath

i sighed and closed her eyes.

Then i realized that the boy was hurt.

"you're hurt, let me help you"

i took off his bandages and i froze.

Xie lian walked over and he too was shocked.

We looked at each other, thinking the same thing

'how is this possible?'

i reached to touch the boy's face but as soon as i did that, he ran.

"wait!"

i looked at Xie lian

"my eyes did not decieve me, they was still burn marks on his face"

"let's ask Ling Wen when we arrive at Heavens."
