20 minutes before boruto arrived

*Boruto's mind POV*

I was nearing the hidden leaf gates with  my chakra suppressed for obvious reasons sasuke's chakra detection powers and the more closer i got i remembered my teammates that unlike the rest of my former friends did not look down on me so i missed them but then i realized there would be guards at the gates so i put a genjutsu in the area where i walk so i cant be seen i then neared the gates and just walked in and to my surprise the guards did not even notice the genjutsu which was beyond me because the boy who cheated in the chunin exams and was looked down upon for walked right pass the guards with a genjutsu they didn't even notice but i think i wanted them to notice so i could turn to drastic measures which i think i should get rid off because u can not kill in the chunin exams but as i walked in i realized i had ten minutes to burn since i knew kawaki knew that i would always show up on time on the last second even if i came early.I was walking around nothing has changed except that it looks like the village is way more prosperous in wealth because all the buildings are two story and one  story buildings and a lot more penthouses which sarada lives in and has a few mansions. hn the houses are nice where as i had to live in a frikkin cave ok don't be bad minded oh i cant wait to show my power in the chunin exams and shock the villagers who looked down on me. I realized i had five more minutes to be on time so i quickly started searching for everyone's chakra signatures but lucky and surprisingly for me everyone was in the hokage's office even my f- f- for-forme- former friends were there just thinking about them brings a dissatisfied taste to my mouth.

*Boruto's POV*

I quickly released the genjutsu and quickly flash stepped to my dad's office door i opened it and walked in only to hear

*everyone in the room except kawaki and boruto pov*

is that really you boruto?

*Boruto's POV*

I responded simply with yh im back. kawaki then said finally your back boruto. To say naruto and the others were confused was an understatement naruto asked kawaki how do you know boruto.

*kawaki's POV*

I responded saying I know him because we met after i escaped kara he found me we talked and he suggested for me to live with you guys and he told me why he left the village and when he would return.

*Naruto's POV*

Why did you leave Boruto?

*Boruto's POV *

Well i cant say i didn't miss my family but the reason i left was to gain more power to show everyone in the next chunin exams what true power is and because of the villagers and then he pointed to all his teammates and former friends and  them all except mitsuki and sarada i said. And i don't feel like explaining what they did because they should know but i have a question dad am i still a ninja? he responded with a yes can i be in the upcoming chunin exams? and he responded with a yes which i was thankful for and i said thank you he then motioned to mitsuki and sarada and said i will ketch up with you guys tomorrow i want to spend some time with my family and he let a small smile be released which did not go unnoticed he and his family then went home to spend some time catching up and spend some quality time and left the rest except mitsuki and sarada at thunder burgers wondering what they did to make him dislike them all.

*Boruto's mind POV*

I was still awake even though it was pass midnight i was thinking about how much i missed my family and the time we spent just now and how himawari's face brightened up so bright it rivaled the sun when she realized i had come back come back permanently.But then my mind wandered onto other things like why my former friend faces lighted up when they saw i returned this left me to wonder if i misheard or just heard a piece of what they said after that thought i wanted to tell them everything and to clear up some stuff but i decided to leave it how it is mainly because i was scared my thought was just false hope speaking and they would laugh at me for having false hope and crush my heart and it surprised me i still had a soft spot for animals people with tough lives and the people i cared about which are way fewer than i had before the chunin exams.I then began to get really tired and soon enough i drifted off wondering what tomorrow had in stored as it would be the second day being back home hence it being hardly a home with those v - v - vi - villagers.
