Inseparable

chapter 61

As I'm sitting on my bed, watching some Tv show that was on the small crappy tv in my room. Then the door opens. I suspect it to be Dr. Miller, but it isn't. "LUKE!" Reggie yells as he runs into my room, Alex and Ray following behind him. 

Reggie wraps his arms around me. "Dude we thought you were somehow dead," Reggie says, forgetting Ray was right there. 

Alex saves him by saying, "Reg, their car was hit head-on. Luke took most of the blow, it's more how is he alive" Alex says putting a hand on my shoulder. Ray leans against a wall. 

"Luke, Thank you for saving her. Paramedics said you are the reason she's alive" Ray says wiping away a few tears. "Even though we were broken up, I love her" I smile. "Wait,  you said were. Are you back together!" Reggie says jumping up and down. 

I chuckle. "Yeah, we briefly talked. That's why we were in that car, we were going to talk about it and just started fighting there. We didn't notice the car until it was too late. After I woke up I saw her and we are going to have a serious later but, yeah we are back together" I smile. I hated breaking up with her, I love her with my whole heart. 

"Do you mind if I ask why you broke up?" Ray says. I nod my head. "We both lied to each other about something. I reacted too quickly before she could explain herself and ended it. It was really nothing in the end" I say chuckling awkwardly. 

Then there is a knock on the door. "She's awake," A nurse says to the guys. I start to get up, I need to see her again. "Not you Patterson," The nurse says to me. I groan and lay back down. "Fine, tell her I'm ok and I love her," I say to Alex. He nods his head. 

JULIE'S POV. 

The nurse had told me that my dad and friends were here. Flynn has school today but we have been texting all day. I sit in bed and wait for them. I haven't seen my Dad since I woke up, I remember hearing his voice at one point but I was still under. 

"JULIE!" Reggie yells as he runs up to me. "Reggie remember she is in bad shape. Be gentle" Alex says acting like his dad. "Right" Reggie mutters, hugging him lightly. 

While I'm hugging him I think back to my dream last night. I had dreamt of Luke sleeping next to me, we got back together and forgave each other. Then I remember, Luke is gone. "Luke!" I yell as the events of the crash come back to me. 

"He's ok! You saw him last night" Alex says pulling up a chair next to my bed. "I thought he was dead! I thought that was a dream" I say as tears start streaming down my cheeks. "Here," Alex says looking at Reggie. 

Alex hands me his phone and on the screen was the Facetime dial screen for Reggie's phone. "Why are you calling Reggie," I say taking the phone. "Just wait," Reggie says smiling at Alex. 

"Reg you left your ph-" Luke's face comes onto the screen. His face slowly grows a smile. "Hey girl," He says smiling widely. "Luke I am so sorry, they told me what happened. I am so irr-" He cuts me off. 

"Julie calm down, I'm fine. It's you I'm worried about" He trails off, he must realize my dad must be in the room. "Im more worried about you because of my preexisting issues," He says, he's talking about how he is dead. 

All 4 of us talk for a while, my dad had to go get Carlos from school. I hate that Luke can't be here with me. "They say that I might need crutches but I'm fine otherwise. Just a small broken ankle" I tell the guys. 

"Well, I've been visited by around twenty medical professionals. I've become the boy with no pulse or brain activity" Luke chuckles. "So how are things going? Did they find out that you are an old man yet" Alex teases. 

"Actually yeah. Told them they must have added the wrong picture to the wrong Lucas Patterson" Luke says quietly. 

"So how long till they discharge you both?" Reggie says as I turn the camera towards him. "No idea might just leave because well, they aren't going to be able to do many more tests. Can't exactly diagnose being a ghost" He laughs "What about you Julie" 

I think, "Four days," I say groaning. "Then they said there would be around two months of an ankle boot thing," I say scrunching my nose. "After that, we can get back to being a band though" Alex chuckles.

Also, I know nothing about hospitals, I've never watched Greys or anything similar so bear with me lol. Most of my knowledge is coming from the internet lol.
