"Unconditional love?"

(Shino and Artemis)

     Artemis's mind wandered back to Shino once again as he waited for his arrival. In a desperate attempt to clear his head Artemis walked over to the window and looked upon his dull reflection, a coward to the end. Looking back, he had always loved the dorms. It was a place a comfort and always encouraged him to come out of his shell, he feared that the warmth it held would soon be tainted.

     Artemis's heart spead up at the sound, Shino had stepped out of his room. There was no going back now. Artemis gulped and glared at his reflection. The sun shone wonderfully, beautiful and warm, just as his love for Shino had once been.

     "Artemis," Shino warmly greated from behind "what did you want to talk about?" Sucking in a breath of air Artemis turned around to face him. Only his head appeared from the railing as he hadn't finished walking up the stairs, as he came closer Artemis could see the gleaming smile plastered on his face. The same one he had always done when he saw Artemis, the one that Artemis could never give back. Suddenly muted, Artemis guided both of them to sit on the couch. After settling down, he grabbed a cup and gave it to Shino. Tea. Made the way Shino had liked it, Artemis sure hoped this would atleast help for what was about to come.

     After a moment of silence Shino repeated himself "so, what did you want to talk about love." Shino was looking at him with unconditional affection. After a pause Artemis looked back at him, feeling even more worried than before Artemis fingered the side of his own cup. It would be getting cold soon. With a burst of anxiety he blurted out.

     "I dont love you anymore!"

     The two looked at eachother for a few seconds, time seemed to slow down as the seconds dragged out. Artemis studied Shino's expression, his golden hair, his warm skin... He looked so sad. God, Artemis wished he could hug him and apologize 1000 times over. He wish he didn't have to say this. Eventually, he took a deep breath. "Im sorry" Artemis choked out "I don't feel the same way about you, i don't love you anymore and i dont think i could ever again." Licking his lips he thought to himself, had they always been this dry? What had went wrong? He had always heard of it, falling out of love, but he had never imagined that it could ever happen to him. For his first relationship to end this badly, he didnt think he could ever have the courage to enter another one, let alone talk to Shino after this

     Shino looked shocked and heavily upset, who wouldn't be after hearing that? If Artemis had a super hearing Quirk he was sure he would have been able to hear Shino's heart break into a million peaces. Then the heart broken lover hurried away and out the door. Artemis put down his cup, it had gone untouched. He looked at his shacking hands and frowned, desperately trying to hold back tears.

     Not even a cup of tea would calm Artemis's nerves tonight.
