The fight is tense. There are close calls as Jotaro and DIO fight. Though the two are equally matched, DIO has the upper hand. Time freezes once again. Jotaro's body slowly freezes in the air, yet he can still see and hear DIO as he moves in to kill him. Though that changes as a small unconscious movement in his hand catches DIO of guard and he quickly moves away from Jotaro. So he can move in frozen time, Jotaro notes.Time soon resumes and DIO and Jotaro's fight resumes. The two move in a blur, the lights of the town blend together.

With the force of a one hundred and ten ton truck Star Platinum punches The World in the face. As DIO flies back, the armor on The World starts to crack away on half of its face and in small areas of its body. As DIO starts to stand back up and as Jotaro walks up to punch him and finish this once and for all, he looks over at The World and everything freezes like time stopped while in actuality no one froze time. The half of The World's armor that cracked away reveals the soft features of Jonathan's face. Jotaro looks at The World in shock, not believe what he's looking at. "Great-great-granddad? What?" That isn't right, Jotaro thinks to himself, Jonathan is The World? But the longer he looks, the more real it becomes. It's definitely Jonathan, no mistaking it, but how?

Even though he can't hear from the distance they're from each other, Jonathan notices the look on Jotaro's face and small sad smile appears on his face. "I'm sorry" He says. He didn't want to be doing this, but he has no choice. He is bound to his body which DIO so happens to have taken over of.

Ever since Jonathan died and DIO stole his body his soul was stuck, unable to pass on into the afterlife. His soul just wondered aimlessly, lost. Till one day he found his Erina and his dear friend Speedwagon. And discovered that he, Jonathan had a son. He went on and watched over them. And that's how it was for many years. Until one day he was pulled in some direction so fast he wondered if spirit can feel dizziness. Sooner than he could think, he suddenly stops in a dark lit room, and hears a familiar voice. "Dio?" He asks out loud, but no one hears him. DIO looks at him, with no hint of recognizing the man in front of him, and speaks to another person in the room. Stand? Abilities?

Jonathan looks down at himself and sees unfamiliar gray and yellow-gold hands. As Jonathan wonders what's happening, his vision whitens and his mind goes blank. Like a snap of a finger, Jonathan comes to and realizes he and DIO moved a couple feet from where they were just standing and the other person in the room-an old women as Jonathan could see-hadn't moved from where they were standing.

It was quite a peculiar thing. Whenever DIO took out The World, Jonathan could feel the overwhelming emotions of DIO. At times his mind would blank out and he couldn't remember anything that happened in that short time, but he could still feel those overwhelming emotions.

Joestars. DIO was planning on killing the other Joestars. And sent out his followers to do the job. Jonathan couldn't believe what he was hearing. But there was nothing he could do but wish his descendants the best of luck.

Like a switch, that sad look is quickly replaced with one filled with pure anger and hatred as DIO makes his way towards Jotaro. Jotaro tried to focus on DIO than the once gentle face of his great-great-grandfather now just a shell of his former self and whose eyes burn into him with hatred instead of warmth. It was up to Jotaro to defeat the man who had caused so much trouble to the Joestars. He couldn't let himself get distracted for even a second.

DIO's body explodes from the final punch from Star Platinum and his body lays motionless. As his soul leaves his body, so does another. Jonathan's soul rises from his stolen body and he looks over to Jotaro with warmth in his features. "Thank you, Jotaro." Jotaro tilts the rim of his hat and a small smile comes to his face. "It's nothing." Jotaro feels a warmth wash over him like a hug as Jonathan's soul fades away.
