Chapter 11
"Sarah." The voice was like mist. "Sarah." The voice became a mist surrounding her. Sarah turned round and round, but could not find the source of the voice. "Who's there!"
"Sarah."
"Show yourself!"
"Sarah. We miss you so much."
"Mom?" Her voice shook with pain, shock, hope.
"Yes, dear. It's me. Your dad is here too. We can't talk long."
"Who killed you? Please tell me?"
"I don't know love."
"Why can't you stay? Please stay! I need you here. You don't know how lonely it is here."
"Oh, sweetie. We can't. You won't have many friends if your friends are just the dead. We can't talk long. Sweetie, your dad and I just wanted to let you know, we're so proud of you. We wish you well and hope you will succeed. We'll help you in any way we can. Goodbye love."
"NO! MOM!!!! DAD!!! COME BACK!!!!!"
"NO!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Sarah! Sarah!"
Sarah opened her eyes, and realized she was in her own room looking into the eyes of Will.
"What are you doing here!" She growled.
Will stepped back. "Take it easy. I heard you screaming."
"Well, I'm fine, now get out!"
"All right, take it easy. Relax and sleep."
Will stepped out of the room and closed her door. He was still shaken by the hatred in her eyes. It was as though what happened just a few hours earlier, never happened.
"Will? Is she all right?" His mom said.
"Yeah, she's fine. Just a bad dream."
"Aw, the poor dear. Still hasn't recovered since the accident. When's the funeral?"
"I don't know. I didn't ask."
"Oh, well good night dear."
His mom went into his parent's room and shut the door.
Will went to his doorway, but before he stepped in, he turned to look at Sarah's door. He looked at it with such a powerful longing, he could feel his heart breaking.
Sarah opened her eyes, and sighed regretfully. It's day again. I must go through the day hearing everyone's fake apologies. They don't understand. No one does. Sarah began to cry silently realizing just how lonely she is. Even her best friends turned their backs on her. She turned on to her side and cried into her pillow.
Will opened his eyes to the sound of crying. Who's crying? As his mind cleared up, he realized that it was Sarah. Every breath she took, Will's heart broke over and over again. I want to comfort her so bad. I need to gain her trust. But how? He heard Sarah stop crying and he rushed out of bed quickly. He opened the door with such violence, the house shook. He went to Sarah's door and knocked. "Sarah! Sarah!"
Sarah opened the door with red, puffy eyes. "What?" She croaked.
Will did not say a word. He just stared at her.
"Well?"
It was as though that question was a signal. He rushed up to her and hugged her. Sarah struggled. He held on, but it was no use. She kicked him in the groin and rushed into the bathroom. Will fell to the ground in pain. Tears coming out. But it wasn't from the pain. It was from the rejection from Sarah. He crawled to the bathroom door and knocked on it. "Sarah? Please come out. We need to talk."
