Nadiya Ke Do Kinaare: Saath Honge Par Paas Nahi

“Bhagwan ke liye aise mat bolo bahu. Thik hai tum hi batao ham kya kare?”
“Ek kaam kar sakte hai Kaka Ji, mai apse ek Ehsaan chahti hoon, karenge aap mujh par?”

“Ehsaan? Aise mat bolo beti tumhari har baat ham manenge aur humara tumhare liye kuch v karna haq hoga tumhara, tum par Ehsaan nhi.”
“Ab to sab kuch Ehsaan hi lagta hai Kaka Ji, haq sunke v dar lagta hai. Jis ladki ko jeene ka haq hi kisi ki khushi cheen ke mila ho uske liye haq bahut bada shabd ho gaya (she wiped a lone tear which came out of her eyes) Mujhe naukari de dijiye taki mai khud paise kama ke apni padhai kar sakun aur us insaan ke sapne pure kar sakun jisne mujhe sapne dikhana sikhaya, uske sapne pure karke aur uske liye kuch karke apne Ehsaano ke bojh ko kam kar sakun. Ghar ke sare kaam to aapne mujhe sikhaye hi hai mai Koeli Didi aur Bhari Babu ke saath ghar ke kaamo me hath bata dungi bas vidyalaya jane se pehle aur vidyalaya se padh kr aane ke baad, ek aur naukrani ki tarah.”

“Bonditaaaa…” he couldn’t help the tears which were continuously flowing, her words were like someone stabbed him in heart, “Nauk…naukrani…kya keh rahi ho tum. Aisa soch v kaise sakti hoon tum bah.. Bondita. Kash apni bachi ki ye haalat dekhne se pehle Dugga Maa ne hame paas bula liya hota…kash” he collapsed again.

Bondita too couldn’t control herself seeing her father like figure her Kaka Sasurji like this and she also collapsed and hugged him, he gave her the fatherly hug she needed right now, support from her father. After breaking the hug he said, “Beta tum padhna chahti ho na tumhari puri padhai ka kharch hamara (Bondita was about to say something) Nhi ye koi Ehsaan nhi hamara tum apni kamayi ke paiso se padhogi, tum naukari chahti ho nah, hum tumhe apne Munshi ke pad par niyukt karte hai kal se samhalo apna kaam aur hamari zamindari ko aur laabh karwao. Tumse jyada viswasniya aur kaabil koi ho hi nhi sakta is pad ke liye. Par haan tum hame Maalik kabhi nhi bulaogi hame Kaka bulaogi samjhi aur ise hamara adesh samjho.”

She nodded her head in affirmative and he put his hand on her head with love to her which gave her assurance still she can trust someone atleast.

“Par Kaka meri v ek baat manni hogi apko, mai haweli me nhi rahungi, gaon me hi ek chota sa ghar de dijiyega mujhe mai Wahi rahungi aur mera kisi se koi rishta nhi hoga” saying this she started sobbing.

Trilochan again put his hand on her head and said with teary eyes, “Beta yun samajh lo tumhare jeevan ki nyi suruwat hai ye, rishte nye aur tumhari marzi se banenge aur ham waada karte hai tumhe kabhi majboor nhi karnge kisi rishte ko jodne ke liye chahe ham kitna v dil se chahe wo rishta jude.”

She joined her hands infront of him with teary eyes and they went to Tulsipur. Everyone was stunned to see her and relieved too as people of Tulsipur had soft corner for their choti maalkin and was sympathetic towards her. Anirudh got the news and ran madly to meet her and when he saw her he rushed to get her into a tight hug but she showed her and signed him to stop. He was shocked to see Bondita’s action but when he intently looked at her he was more shocked. He became numb and tears started rolling down his cheeks. He felt like his heart is stabbed 100 times, he realised what he did, unable to bear the pain of the reality check he fell down on floor with a thud and looking at Bondita with teary eyes. Bondita too wanted to cry and scream loud for everything to scream her pain she was holding but still she managed to control herself and turned towards Kaka.

“Kaka, mujhe kaun se ghar me rehna hai wo ghar dikha dijiye aur kal subah se mai kaam pe aa jaungi.”

Anirudh’s pov:

I got one more shock, she was referring my Kaka as Kaka only not Kaka Sasurji means she disowned the relation we have? No, no how can she? What am I thinking she can’t do this!

“Why, why can’t she do this. Whatever I have done with her I deserve the treatment she is giving me. I deserve the pain I am going through.
What I have done to her, I snatched her innocence, her childhood, her happeniness, her own self everything. What blunder you did Anirudh.
