Chapter 2: I just look at you

Chaewon unnie's bedroom didn't feel like a typical bedroom because it was so wide and spacious. I mean, her house—her mansion—is huge, and it's located by the coastline. She's very rich, and I'm reminded of that every time I visit. 

"Ok, kids. Let's form a circle— Kwangbae, we agreed to eat together!" Eunbi unnie yelled, snatching the chicken from Kwangbae, who just sneered, crossing her arms like a child who'd just had their toy taken away. 

Sigh, and to think some people are still kids when it comes to food. Our positions from left to right were me, Hitomi, Nako, Wonyoung, Yujin, Yena unnie, Kwangbae, Chaewon unnie, Minju, Eunbi unnie, and Chaekkura.

"We should start from the eldest," Kwangbae said while back-hugging Chaewon unnie and holding her waist possessively. Were they dating? That's impossible... I mean, I knew Chaewon unnie had a thing for Minju because a specific duck quacked it to me.

What about Hii-chan? I glanced at her from my peripheral view and saw her pouting. She looked so hurt and broken by the sight in front of us, especially since we were sitting across from them. And then there was Yena... ugh, just thinking about her makes my heart do somersaults. She's infuriatingly cute and confident all at once, making it impossible not to notice how she somehow steals the spotlight. I bit my lip, frustration bubbling up again as I thought about how effortlessly she pulled everyone in. 

"I don't care anyway, so ask away," Eunbi unnie said, brimming with confidence. Why is she so cool while I just stumble over my words? Ugh!

The game was about to begin, but all I could think about was Yena and how much she made my head spin.

Choi Yena's POV

Does Yuri like Hitomi? Why does she have to keep glancing at her now and then and why am I feeling this way and thinking about this anyway? I mean Yuri's just my best friend ever since middle school. She's just a best friend, Yena. Nothing more, nothing less.

I got snapped back to reality when Yujin fell on me after she got smacked by Wonyoung. If I didn't feel uneasy right now, I would have laughed at them. I pushed Yujin away instead and I could tell that she was shocked by my actions.

"Unnie, did I do something wrong?" Yujin whispered to me since she didn't want to catch the attention of others because she knew the last thing I wanted was attention.

"No, I just feel uneasy right now. I'm sorry," I apologized to her and gave her a reassuring smile.

"Oh I'm sorry too, unnie," she said and smiled like a big puppy.

"I don't really care anyway, so ask away," Eunbi said and Yujin and I immediately paid attention.

"Why can't we just spin the bottle?" asked Sakura, "won't that be more exciting?"

"No! I want to start with Eunbi! HMPH!" Kwangbae said hugging Chaewon tighter this was something I saw every day in our classroom so I wasn't used to it. They were always playing around and I would sometimes join in. People who didn't know how they were in our class would probably think they were dating.
