White washing in tv shows and movies

Let's be honest here there is not a lot representation of people of colour on TV .
Or any other race but white people .
And as black girl it's hard to not feel bad because you don't see someone who looks like you on TV shows or movies .
And if so they will only be two people or very few and majority will be white .
And show only the stereotypes of the people .
And if so again depending on how you look whether you're light skinned or dark skinned .
And if dark skinned you are seen as dangerous , aggressive and light skinned are seen as kind , sweet and always see this a lot in " reality shows " .
Which people think that's how black people behave .
And we all don't behave that way .
