❝They say all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me❞

-My Chemical Romance, Teenagers

"So, Iris what are your thoughts on the prank?" Sirius asked, sending Iris out of her thoughts. Iris nodded her head vigorously, telling the boys that she thought the plan was great and they should go along with it. "Okay, so we will start with fireworks in the Great Hall and then the fireworks will turn into dragons- yes firework dragons Sirius! What else, you bloke? And then we will come in" James explained the plan to the Marauders (with the constant interruptions from Sirius Black may I add) and they seemed estatic, and that excited energy stayed there until Lily Evans opened the compartment door causing James' attention to wander. Iris internally rolled her eyes at James' infatuation with her sister and was the first to break the tensed silence "What is it that you need Lily?" Iris questioned her sister "I was coming here to tell Remus that we're almost late for the Prefects meeting" Lily answered with a quick smile at Remus. Remus' eyes widened as he scrambled from his window seat in the compartment before rushing out of the small space with his robes trailing behind him. James was still staring at the spot where Lily was before Iris rolled her eyes and clapped her hands infront of his face, making James snap out of his trance and fall over in surprise. Sirius started laughing which caused Peter to start laughing and Sirius to stare at him weirdly wondering who he was and how he got into the compartment without them noticing.

Sirius was the only one that knew the difficult love triangle between the two sisters and James and Sirius was rooting for Iris to get him, after all she was the most like him in so many ways.

Suddenly the train stopped, signaling it was time for all the students besides the first years to go on the carriages that arrive at Hogwarts. The Marauders always sat together in the carriages (with the exception of Remus when he had a Prefect meeting) and talked about various pranks, gossip and what kind of mischief they were going to get into. This time they were all hunched over the Marauders map, the key to all their "surprises" at the wizarding school and they were watching Filch walk around in the corridor on the Third Floor. This puzzled them but as soon as the carriages stopped they put the map away and got out.

Iris always stopped to pet the Thestrals after she got out of the carriage, although it may have looked like she was petting air to some of the Marauders all she cared about was that she could see them. After she was done caring for the Thestrals she met up with the boys at the Great Hall for the feast. James was just setting up the prank by the time she got there and didn't spare a glance but Sirius informed her to just start walking in at James' signal. Iris nodded and the grand entrance began. Fireworks went off at the roof of the Great Hall and Iris could hear that all the students were in a state of excitement and tumult. Then James' signal began just as the firework dragon disappeared and the Marauders swaggered in the Great Hall and sat at their spots at the Gryffindor table (which was at the end of course) where Iris was squished between Sirius and James, who sat beside Lily purposely.

After everyone finished their dinner the group of teenagers headed up the stairs to the Gryffindor common room where they got stopped by the Fat Lady "Password?" She asked, seemingly bored although a large group of teenagers were crowding around the painting "Horned Slugs" Remus' voice sounded throughout the crowd and many of the first years sighed in relief.

Soon after everyone was inside they got into their dorms. Iris walked up the stairs after saying goodnight to the boys and discovered she shared a room with Lily, Mary Macdonald and Marlene Mckinnon, all of Lily's friends that Iris did not enjoy. Iris ignored the gossip the girls were sharing and got ready for a good nights sleep.

As soon as Iris' head it the pillow she was swallowed by the murky waters of her dreams.
