Cigarettes

            This is my first time writing these so please don't be to harsh But I would love to hear                                                              how I can improve my story writing.

                                                                       💜   Abuse, Neglect 💜

                                                                                   3rd person

              Tommy was just laying on his bed, His whole body was sore. He had just received a                   beating from his Mother for not doing dishes and leaving the kitchen a mess from her earlier        fight with his Dad.

 He slowly got up going down the stairs and making his was to the kitchen. There was glass all   over the floor, The smell of alcohol and cigarettes everywhere. He was about to start cleaning   when he noticed the small box of cigarettes laying on the counter. He noticed that whenever his   dad used a cigarette he was a lot calmer after, So he wondered if it would work for him.

 He carefully took out one of the cigarettes and a lighter then went up to his room using a ladder   that he put beside his window to get on to the roof. He used the lighter and lit the cigarette.

 He took a puff of the cigarette, It instantly burned the back of his throat but he didn't mind,       He actually he quite liked the burning feeling in his throat.  Its reminded him of when he was younger and he had sore throats and his parents cared for him.

                                                                      Oh how he misses those days

He could hear the car of his mother pulling into the driveway so he quickly got down from the roof and headed into his room, He made sure the door was locked.

After laying bed for a few moments he hear his mother pounding on the door and screaming at him, He was smart enough to know he shouldn't let her in or else he would end up with another couple of bruises.

He heard her shouting about how the kitchen was still a mess and how some of the cigarettes were missing, He just layed in bed and waited until he eventually went away.

He managed to get a bit of sleep that night, He always liked how peaceful things were when he was dreaming at asleep, 

                                                                                           But,

                                                             Good things always come to an end
