Day 2 - Happiness

Summary: We get to know how Hope and Lightning's reunion went and what happened two weeks later.

"WOAH, well I hope we won't get sick."

Hope was taking off his wet jacket.

"What was I thinking? I should have brought at least an umbrella."

"Don't blame yourself. The sky was bright blue. It was quite a sudden rain."

"Hope, you can use the shower first."

"Nuh-uh, I'm not doing that, I don't want you to catch a cold."

"Oh, here we go again..."

2 weeks before

Hope just froze and only could stare at the woman she bumped into in an ordinary street.

He wanted to make sure that it's really her, not a dream or imagination.

The only way to know was to let her recognize who he is.

"Light?"

Lightning looked up to him, she was shocked to see him being taller and older than her, but she was relieved too. She found the one she was looking for.

"Hope..."

It was really her. The woman he was searching for centuries... The woman he made a promise which he truly wanted to fulfill.

The silence broke when they realized they both were in rush, and they admitted how much they wanted to at least have a little converstation, now it wasn't the time. Lightning immediately told him her adress and proposed him a meeting in the afternoon.

Hope was walking towards her house. He slowly stopped his movement and looked around the neighbourhood. He still couldn't believe that he finally found her.

He kept walking, and as he approached the door, she opened it before he could ring. He thought she must have been waiting for him.

Silence grew bigger again, they just stared at each other when Hope decided to take the first move.

He tightly placed his arms around her back, but didn't say a word.

A few moments later Lightning slowly returned his hug and started to speak.

"Where have you been?"

He finally answered.

"Far. Like really far away."

Lightning took a step back and gave him a confused face.

"I quit my job, and I moved out from my parents' house. So... I came here, hoping to find you guys. I want to stay in a hotel as long as I figure out what to do."

"Wait, you were alone all this time??"

"Well, yeah... Haven't you too?"

"Um.."

Hope was shocked by Lightning's explainition, every one of his friends were here.

"Oh, also you can spend the night here if you'd like to. And I'm sure we have things to discuss..."

"Wow, that's sudden. Are you sure?"

She gently nodded.
Of course, they talked through the whole night. About the rose-haired phantom, the time while Lightning was alone in Valhalla, the time she was sleeping in the crystal...

It took a while, but she realized she has feelings for him.

Lightning texted everyone about Hope's arrival, and Serah was so happy that she called them.

Serah said that the wedding can be finally settled. Then the craziest thought came around her mind. She always knew Lightning was feeling down because she's always alone in her home. Well.... she ended up forcing them to move in together...

Lightning actually had a big house, she owns a guest room, so she decided to hand it over to Hope.

It's been two weeks since Hope moved in with Lightning, and as we know what a genius he is, he could quickly get a good job.

One day, they were searching for Serah and Snow's wedding gift together, when suddenly, it started to rain. They both got soaked when they made it home.

They were sitting on the couch when Hope couldn't help but tease her all over again.

"You know that you'll have to dance right?"

"Where did that come from?"

Lightning gave an annoyed face.

"Do you think Serah will let you miss it?
Don't worry, you can have me as your partner."

He laughed mischeviously.

"W-what?"

"Come on, it's better than Snow."
