Timeline – Late Autumn, 2018

Location – Mankai Theatre, Lobby

Nami: (The first assignment for my first day as a member of the summer troupe is exciting. We immediately dashed to the lobby area to do our discussion. It doesn't come in as a surprise that Misu-san and I arrive at the location after literally skipping a few steps instead of being like a normal being.)

Kazunari: Nanami-chan, you're too quick. Sumi too!

Yuki: You don't have to run too you know. The lobby is not going anywhere.

Kumon: But it's cool how Nami can jump so high. I still get so hyped from that every time.

Tenma: Aren't you two schoolmates? Wouldn't you see it then?

Kumon: The baseball team and the stride team don't share the same practice area.

Nami: That's right. And we don't share the same class so the only time we used to see each other is when we cross path to our clubs.

Kumon: I used to see you placing those hurdles that the track field team tend to use. You guys looked close too.

Muku: The stride team uses hurdles during practice? I thought it would be something higher since you can jump so high, Nami-san.

Nami: We use plenty of things actually but the hurdles are easier to use when we get to practice on the track with the track team.

Misumi: Do you have any triangle obstacles, Nami?

Nami: The closest thing to a triangle is probably the vaulting box? It's more of a trapezium though.

Yuki: Suddenly this has become an athlete's meeting. Please come back to Mankai Theatre, you athletic junkies.

Kumon: Sorry! I got excited. It's not always I get a better insight about other school clubs.

Tenma: Anyway, let's get this discussion on the road.

Yuki: Took you long enough, you hack.

Tenma: I'm getting there!

Kazunari: No fighting, no fighting. We need to figure out something that screams 'SUMMER!' but in about ten minutes.

Nami: When you scream summer, I think of the ocean.

Misumi: Triangle summer ocean~

Yuki: Rejected. That doesn't even make sense.

Kazunari: Harsh cut from Yukki!

Kumon: Summer troupe means comedy! Let's do an improv. That can be a practice for us and Nami too.

Nami: Improv? Isn't that we have to do for the assignment?

Tenma: Technically, we have to do a ten minutes sketch that represents the summer troupe. Nami and Kumon's ideas actually make sense.

Yuki: What kind of sketch are we doing?

Muku: How about Nami-san's stride team? That's easy for her to do for her first acting experience. Though that sounds like a bad idea since the only ones that are good at that is Nami-san and Misumi-san and we are not as agile like cats that Misumi-san always talk to-

Kazunari: Here, here! We can make it seems like we are beginners and very bad at it. We don't have to be good at it.

Misumi: Nami and I can teach everyone how to do it.

Yuki: That sounds easier than done, isn't it?

Kumon: Everyone! You learned baseball because of me in the past. It wouldn't hurt to learn basics in stride. Besides, maybe we can just run around to show it off.

Nami: That's right. Stride is not only jumping around, you know. Running is a part of stride too! Also, Yuki-chan, you can be the relationer if you want. You were the manager during the baseball play after all.

Tenma: I guess that's the only choice we have. Alright, let's do it then.

Muku: But what if we failed to show the summer troupe in ten minutes? We don't have all day to create a story. As expected, this is already a failure on our side-

Kazunari: Mukkun, cheer up! We can knock this one out amazingly if we back up one another! It's what friends are for, right?

Nami: Yeah, there's no need to be so bumped about it. Summer meant to be a fun time after all.

Misumi: Here's a triangle to cheer you up, Muku.

Muku: Ah, it's the eraser again. Thank you, Misumi-san.

Tenma: Where did you even keep these triangles anyway?

Yuki: Are you really curious or are you just throwing the question without thinking again, you useless actor?

Tenma: What did you say?

Kumon: This is something you'll easily get used to, Nami.

Nami: (Yeah, I figured that out since the first time I volunteered to work as an usher in the front of house department. I might have only spoken to everyone in the company on closing nights but somehow I think I can get along with these people the easiest. They don't exactly hate each other. It's just a friendly banter between good friends.

This is the Summer Troupe.)
