"NICK. FANCY SEEING YOU HERE."

"Get out Stark."

Fury didn't look up from the screen in front of him at the new voice since he was too busy foolishly praying that the unwanted visitor- aka one Tony Stark- would disappear if he couldn't see him. However, any and all of the director's hope dissipated when, despite the order, Tony walked further into the room and plopped himself down in the chair opposite.

A heavy sigh rose in Fury's chest when he begrudgingly looked up, ensuring to pull out his most disinterested expression hoping to dissuade the billionaire.

It didn't work. Never had. But it was worth a shot. "I just have one question. Just one."

Tony reasoned, looking smug at the familiar look he was receiving. He crossed one leg over the other and peered around the room, hands clasped on his knees casually while he pretended to be distracted- Fury knew he was scoping the room out, searching for secret dangers. "Then you'll leave me alone?" He grumbled. At the answer, Tony's attention snapped back and he nodded exaggeratedly, flashing an award-winning smile in response. "You got two minutes." Tony took a moment, straightening out his suit jacket that Fury deduced must have meant the man had been to some meetings before invading his office, either at Shield or for Stark Industries.

"See, I was scrolling through my media, checking up on the news and what not- did you hear about that adorable puppy stuck in a tree-"

"One minutes and 48 seconds Stark."

"Jeez Nick. Anyway, I noticed that- what's he called? Spiderkid? Spiderdude? Whatever it doesn't matter, but I couldn't help but notice that you haven't mentioned him. At all."

"And that is a problem because?" Fury questioned, irritated. He hated Tony having a point.

It was true. If Fury wasn't aware of the kid's current location and the fact that he was under Romanoff's supervision, then 'Spiderman' as he had been dubbed by the media, would have been on Shield's radar a long time ago with a whole file having been constructed about the new masked vigilante and dedicated to any of his possible identities.

Fury really hated Stark being right.

"No problem, just, curious." Tony tilted his head watching Fury carefully as he relaxed into the seat. Fury knew how fast Tony's mind could work; he'd seen it up close and personal despite their apparent hatred of one another so regardless of him being a part time dumbass, Tony Stark was in fact, very much a genius. And that was suddenly an issue.

"Two minutes are up Stark."

"So, you're not concerned in the slightest that a masked guy who's got a spider theme for his costume- a spider, come on- is running round the streets of New York and very clearly has at least some kind of ability because there's footage of him lifting a goddamn car with sheer strength alone, either that or with the help of the suit he's wearing- are you not at least, a little concerned?"

Lord give me strength, Fury pleaded internally. And remind me to lock my office.

"No." He ground out. Tony threw him a disbelieving look before shrugging nonchalantly.

"Fine. That's cool." He said, rising from his chair. "See you around Nick."

"Hopefully not." Fury breathed as Tony exited the room, sending him a wide grin over his shoulder.

Scowling, Fury made a mental note to pay a visit to a certain spy.

The layout of Natasha's apartment hadn't changed since Fury's last visit. It was still the same couch, the same coffee table, the same tv etc. All the usual stuff just with some, peculiar additions.
