We walked inside of some sort of medical hospital, that produces prosthetics. When we walked inside I could see a doctor helping an old man walk and the receptionist. She smiled at me but I didn't simile back. A doctor walked into the room and asked Five and me whether we needed help.
"I need to know who this belongs to," said Five, holding up the eye,
"Where did you get that," the doctor said, pointing at it,
"What do you care," I hissed, but Five put his hand in front of me and he looked at me as if to say, let me handle this.
"I... I found it... at a playground, actually. Must've just," He clicked his tongue, "popped off. I want to return it to its rightful owner."
"Aww what a thoughtful young man," said the receptionist, smiling at me and Five again, I looked at her and fakely smiled,
"Yeah, look up the name for me, will ya?"
"I'm sorry but patient records are strictly confidential," The doctor said, "But, I will take the eye and return it to the owner."
"Yeah, you're not touching this eye."
"Now you listen here, young man-" Five cut him off and pulled the doctor up to his face,
"No! You listen to me, as****. I've come a long way for this, through some s*** your pea brain couldn't even comprehend, so just give me the information I need and we'll be on our merry way," I smiled and grabbed the man from Five, "And if you call him 'young man' or 'kids' one more time we will put your through that damn wall." The woman at the front desk picked up her phone and dialed a number. I let go of the doctor and me and Five walked away.
I could hear Vanya walking up the stairs of the Academy and into Five's room. Five gave his apologies, and so did Vanya. He did a little acting along the lines of, maybe you were right, the old man said that and he said this, and with that, we said that we were tired and she left.
Suddenly, Klaus came tumbling out of the closet in a hideous green and patterned outfit. He complimented our acting and how touching it was all the things about family, time, and dad. We walked outside of the room and started a very disturbing conversation. "Ok, but just so we're clear on the finer details," started Klaus, "so I need to pretend to be your dear old dad, correct?"
"Yeah, something like that," Five said.
"What's our cover story?" asked Klaus, I mean was this guy for real, was he, like, being serious. Five looked at him confused, "What? What are you talking about?"
"I mean, was I like really young when I had you? like, 16? Like, young and..." As he continued he put his hands on his chest, "terribly misguided?"
"Sure," said Five, with a hint of annoyed-confusion in his voice.
"Your mother, that sl**," Five raised his eyebrows as Klaus was telling us where he met our mother and how the night after they met was amazing me and Five both agreed,
"What a disturbing glimpse into that thing you call a brain," I said, concluding the conversation and walking away, with Five shortly behind me. Klaus eventually followed us.
We took a taxi to the hospital again, and spoke to the same doctor, "I cannot give you any information about the prosthetic, without the client's consent." I stood up and leaned on the table,
"Well, we can't get consent if you don't give us a name," I said, as Five stood up next to me.
"Well, that's not my problem."
"What about my consent?" asked Klaus angrily at the doctor, which looked pretty confused, since Klaus hadn't spoken the whole time since we arrived.
"Excuse me?" the doctor replied,
"Who gave you permission to lay your hands on my daughter?"
"What?"
"You heard me."
"I didn't touch your daughter-"
"Oh really?" Klaus said as he was leaning in, "Well, then how did she get that swollen lip, then?"
"She doesn't have a swollen-" as soon as the doctor was finishing his sentence Klaus raised his hand and gave me a split-second look of sorry, and slapped my lip, and then Five's, which caused it to bleed. I put my hand over it and then looked at the man. Five looked at me concerned and I looked at Klaus as if I was about to kill him, then he leaned on the table,
"I want it. Name, please. Now."
"You're crazy," said the doctor,
"You got no idea," Klaus looked at a glass ball and threw it into his head, I looked at Five in shock as he bled. He yelled as the man lifted the phone and started calling security. Klaus took the phone and lied to the security that there had been an assault, he fakely sobbed and started talking random stuff about prison and chicken, Five's look went from a smile to super confused, and have no idea what our brother was saying. He spat some glass out and the doctor led us to the files desk.
He scrolled through some files and pulled out one folder. He opened it as me and Five stared at him and Klaus was sitting on the counter. He informed us that the eye hadn't been purchased yet and hadn't been manufactured yet. Five shook his head and left with me and Klaus chasing him. "That's not good," He said as we left the building,
"But I was pretty good right," interrupted Klaus, "yeah, what about my consent, b****."
"Klaus, it doesn't matter," I said rolling my eyes and crossing my arms as I sat on the stone steps of the hospital.
"What's the big deal with this eye?"
"Someone is going to lose an eye in the next 7 days, and bring about the end of life on earth as we know it," said Five angrily.
"Can I get that 20 bucks right now, or what," responded Klaus.
"Your 20 bucks," repeated Five, in disgust,
"The apocalypse is coming and all you can think about is getting high?!" I said, pretty much shouting.
"Well, I'm also quite hungry, tummy's a-rumbling," our brother said, as he imitated a tummy groaning.
"You're useless,"
You're all useless," I agreed, and Five came to sit next to me and sighed.
