The five Black Priors looked at each other and shrugged. I took three steps forward and spoke.

"Leave!"

Their leader looked at me and spoke again.

???: "Like I said. We will leave when we have what we need!"

"We have nothing for you here! Besides, none of us here would help you and your order!"

I lowered my long sword to a right guard.

I've heard stories about the Black Priors. They're all knights who turned against the principles of chivalry. They disgust me and my fellow knights.

The four Priors behind the female leader moved closer to me but their leader stopped them before they could get within my striking range.

???: "All we need are horses, food and men or women who can fight"

I stood quiet for a moment and considered what they wanted.

"We will give you horses and food. But I will not give you anyone to fight"

The female Prior turned to the others and they whispered to one another. Then she turned around and walked to me. She put her sword and shield on her back and stopped only a few feet away. Against my better judgement I dropped my guard completely and stood there, looking at the shorter but strong woman.

???: "We'll be waiting outside the walls. Pleasure doing business with you, Warden"

The rest of the day went on as normal. To be honest I thought there was going to be a lot of panic but these villagers seem to be doing well with the fact that there are five Black Priors outside of their gates. The last person who was sent here to guard the village was a Lawbringer. He got blood eagled. Not a good sight when I first got here.

The vikings raided this place at least a dozen times. But luckily for these people I'm here to protect them because without me they'd all be fresh meat for the wolves.

I helped an elderly man pack the last of the flour for bread and tied down everything on the wagon. Just when I was done with the last knot I heard a woman and child scream for help. I grabbed my long sword and rushed to the villagers who needed my aid. When I got to the source of the screaming I saw a little boy with a bloody nose on the ground unconscious. I looked to my left and saw a young woman at least the age of 16 being held to the wall by one of the filthy Black Priors from this morning.

The young woman saw me and hope filled her eyes. Tears streamed down her face as the Black Prior began to pull her clothes apart. I did a valiant breakthrough and sliced the top of his helmet open. Blood shot from the Priors eye slit. The Black Prior took his sword and slashed at my stomach. I dodged and threw him against the same wall he held the girl onto.

I threw a side heavy which connected and then broke his guard. I pulled him from the wall and threw him to the ground, back first. I took a step backwards to regain my stamina. When I felt good to go the Black Prior stood up with his shield at the ready. I took two steps forward when the Prior threw a right side heavy. I blocked the attack and dodged to my left.

I took my sword and hacked at the mans knees. I got a clean hit on my first try and cut off his right knee. The Black Prior screamed in pain and threw a a last minute punch. I dodged the punch and sliced open his stomach and tripped him from behind his remaining legs ankle before shoulder bashing him while he was midair. (Blackstone Bash Execution)

The Black Prior landed on the ground and stayed limp. His intestines were spread out around his body as a large pool of blood formed around his corpse. The girl I helped ran to the little boy and went to the doctor who was father into town. I lifted my face plate and spit on the dead man.

I put my long sword in my left hand and walked away from the scene with blood covering my white cloth and armor. I went to my small home at the edge of town and took off my armor. I took a bucket of water and a rag and began to clean the white and bronze iron.

When I finished I heard a knock on my door. I grabbed my sword and cracked the door slightly. I saw a small boy with tears running down his face. I opened the door but when I did I saw a black figure standing behind the boy. The figure pushed the boy away and held the tip of their sword to my neck.

I put my hands to my sides and stepped backwards. The figure removed their hood and the person was revealed to be the female black prior.

???: "You killed one of my Priors"

I managed to grab my sword and put the edge of the blade against the side of her neck.

"One of your Priors tried to rape a girl, he also knocked a small boy unconscious. That doesn't fly when I'm here"

I pushed the blade against her neck a little harder now.

???: "If you want to kill me the go ahead, I'll take you down with me"

The woman lowered her sword and so did I.

???: "You will be the one to come with us"

"What?"

???: "You are going to be the one who will come with us to fight. Like you said no one from the village will help us, but you never said that you yourself was off limits"

"N-"

The woman got right into my face put the tip of her sword to my stomach.

???: "If you don't come with us then I will assure the slaughter of every villager here while I tie you to a wooden pole and make you watch them all be killed like rats in the mud"

"You wouldn't do that"

The woman put more pressure onto my stomach which drew a line of crimson blood.

???: "Try me"

The woman left and closed the door on her way out. I took the wet rag I used for my armor and put it against my stomach. I took a white bandage and put it on the wound. I sat down in a wooden chair that was in the corner of my home. This was where I went to think.

I began to sharpen my sword while the images of dead villagers clouded my vision.

I shook my head and dropped my sword. I put my head in my hands.

"No. I'm not letting it happen again"
