"Wait - no.. I can.... Take care of your little kids yeah ! I'm fine with that !" he said in a slightly cheery tone. He liked kids, he always wanted to have some since he began to date Nora though those thoughts faded when their relationship went off the wrong way...

The woman looked like she was going to cry, she went over and hugged Keith, "Oh thank you ! I can finally sleep for my business trip in a few hours.." she sighed, "I've been up all night trying to find a babysitter for them but I always either got shut down or people didn't answer the door.." she held her head as Keith nodded.

Her hugs were kinda strong as Keith felt his back breaking even more. He patted her back, "Don't worry - even though I don't have any.. I can handle kids well ! I'll try my best to feed them and care for them when you come back, stranger - !" he said as the woman laughed. "My name is Lila, and you are ?" she asked as Keith smiled, "Keith ! I go by Keith.. what's their names by the way ?" he asked as he slightly scratched the back of his head as the two kids that were with Lila ran around in his front yard, screaming about Halloween stuff at this hour..

"Well my child's name is Skid, he's the short one with the skeleton costume and his friend Pump, also short - with a pumpkin for a head.. don't worry they're both kids I look after though I'm in need of a babysitter but here you are.. !" Lila explained before yawning, "Oh gee, I better get myself some sleep...theyr'e hyper now but they'll eventually tire themselves out..." She explained as Skid and Pump ran up to Keith, staring up at him before they both smiled.

"Do you know what month it is ?" Pump asked as Keith hummed, "..February ?" he shrugged as Skid shook his head. "Nooo.. It's the Spooky Month !" Skid exclaimed as he started to do this... weird dance.... Pump danced along with him as Lila laughed tiredly, "You guys will get along well I know it.. Welp, I'm gonna head home to get the rest I need, Thank you Keith I'll see you maaayyybee later today." she spoke as she waved at him. Keith waved back at her as she walked off to the house beside them - they were indeed neighbors..

"Alright, kids..What do we do for fun huh ?" Keith asked as he led them inside the house. Pump gasped as he noticed Mawlie yawning at them, "A LION - !" he screamed as Skid screamed as well, both of them hiding behind Keith. Keith laughed quietly, "That's a cat, guys.. She doesn't mean no harm..." he said as he crouched down, Mawlie wandered up to him and purred. "That sound... it's gonna blow uuup !!" Skid said as he ducked, Pump ducked as well.

Keith picked Mawlie up and gave her to Skid, Skid froze as he held Mawlie. Mawlie didn't seem to really care, she was just purring and meowing at him; nuzzling his cheek. "She doesn't mean any harm see.. She doesn't bite either !" Keith said with a smile as Pump hesitantly patted Mawlie's head.

Mawlie purred at Pump before her ears twitched, she looked over at Keith's bed room door. Keith followed her eyes before finding the door slowly opening, Pico peeked out from it - he looked like he just woke up from the kid's screaming over a cat.

"Oh uh - heyyyyy, umm... Roommate - ! We have guestsstststsss.... !" Keith nervously smiled, Pico gave him a confused look, "Roomma - ?" he was then interrupted by Keith. "YES ! Roommates !" Keith didn't want to look 'weird' in front of Skid and Pump due to them being kids and maybe not understanding that guys can like each other too, not just guys and gals... -

Pico sighed as he wandered towards Keith before smiling at Skid and Pump, "Well, I see that you two kiddos have met my very lovely roommate over here.." he said as he winked over at Keith, smirking as Keith looked to the side; his face slowly turning pink. The duo nodded, "Yes !" Skid said, "He's very nice !!" Pump smiled as Keith smiled back at him. "Aw you two.. ! You should say the same for my 'friend' here, Pico"

The two nodded, "Yeah, he looks super cool !!" Pump exclaimed as Skid crossed his arms, "Very cool indeed !" said happily as Pico smiled with pride. "Yeah I know.." he said with a smug look, Keith rolled his eyes before laughing, "Hah ! .. Never knew you had your way with kids.. thought I heard you say they were little demons or something ?" Pico nodded.

"They are.. it's that these kiddos get to pass since all they talk about is Hallow- I mean the so called 'Spooky Month'" Once Pico said the word 'Spooky Month', Skid and Pump started dancing. "They also do this funky dance that cracks me up every time.. they're great.." Pico said with a chuckle as Keith gave him a confused look before shaking his head.

"Oh yeah.. um I should probably explain myself why there're two strange kids in our.. house." Keith fiddled with his fingers as he spoke. Skid and Pump decided that they were going to have a grown up conversation as grown ups so they wandered around the house, Pump held Mawlie as he pet her.

"Yeah I really need an explanation from you.. at 5 in the morning..." Pico yawned as Keith sighed, "So our neighbor is going through stuff and she asked me to take care of her kids until she comes back from a business trip I think she said.. ? But yeah.. uh we gotta take care of those two for a few days.." Keith explained as Pico hummed.

"Yknow I really dislike kids right ?" Pico mumbled as Keith slightly nodded, "Yyeah.. I should've asked if you were okay with it but you were asleep, plus my legs were killing me... still is.." Keith complained as Pico chuckled. "Well sooorrryy, princess.." he joked as Keith rolled his eyes at him.

"Don't worry, Roommate of mine.. I'm sure I'll do fine and dandy with these little demo- childrenn.. yes... children." Pico said as he wrapped his arm around Keith's shoulders, pulling him close as he smirked at him. Keith looked to the side, avoiding the other's look before Skid and Pump walked up to them.

"We want ice cream.. !" Pump raised Mawlie up at Keith before Keith picked Mawlie up and cradled her like a baby. Skid nodded, agreeing with Pump, "Yes.. Spoooooky ice cream.. Ice cream that makes your brain scream !" he laughed as Pico blinked. "You mean brain freeze ?" he questioned as Skid stared at him, "Brain scream.." he mumbled as Pico shrugged with a sigh. "Yes brain scream.." he said as Skid smiled and nodded.

Pump tugged the sweater Keith was wearing, which belonged to Pico.. that thief. "Can we go... now ?" he asked Keith as Skid nodded, getting on his knees in some praying position, "Pleeeeeaaasseee ?" he plead before Pump prayed with him. Pico snickered before joining them, praying too. "Yes, Roommate, get us our cold sweet treats !!" he cried as Keith just stared at the three in confusion.

This is going to be a long few days...
