10-year-old Daniel Moore loved the mornings after it rained. His grandfather told him that he was only allowed to be in the garden when he wanted to play outside. Not that it mattered much, there weren't any houses for almost as far as you are able to look. Daniel tried to get down the stairs as quiet as possible not trying to wake his grandpa.

Edmund Moore woke up hearing steps onto the stairs. The old wizard had impeccable hearing, even at old age. While Daniel was jumping and playing in the wet garden Edmund went to check up on the post. Strangely the old paper hadn't picked up. He went to pick the carton box up because the next time they would be picking it up would not be until 2 more weeks. But when he looked inside there was a kitten in it, a lynx kitten. Lynxes are uncommon were they lived but especially lynxes with a human necklace on. The kitten looked very small and dirty. Edmund had a strange feeling about this kitten, it intrigued him. His gut told him to take care of it, that there was something unusual about this kitten. It wasn't just a kitten. The old wizard took the kitten, it stirred a bit but stayed asleep. When Edmund Moore had a gut feeling it was always right.

Once inside he took a blanket and laid it on the old couch. Edmund took out a bowl and some cereal for when Daniel decided to get inside to eat breakfast. He took the newspaper and sat in the crimson armchair that was seated next to the same-coloured couch. The living room, and basically the whole house, had a warm red and wooden colour. Edmund Moore lived with his grandson in a 3-floor detached house in the open lands. There were many fields and a forest a little further away.

Looking at the newspaper, he saw the horrible news of the death of the Potters and Emilia and Lynx Black. Edmund didn't know them but they knew that they were way too young for such a fate. But seeing the name Lynx reminded him to the little lynx kitten next to him. He putted the paper aside and decided to figure out what was so peculiar of the kitten.

First lynxes aren't exactly common so for one to be in his old paper trash is pretty strange. Second of all it had a necklace on with the ring of a phoenix. Third it had on her back a couple of brown spots that contradicted with the other black ones. At first the spots looked random but if you traced them, it was a constellation. The constellation of the lynx to be exact. Edmund was getting suspicious. It happened that animagi had a slight physical difference to them in their Animagus form as a reference to their human form. The old wizard looked at the article in the paper again. The body of the youngest Black wasn't found and Godric's Hollow wasn't that far away. His theory had substantial amount of evidence. The older sibling of Lynx was named Phoenix. The same as the creature that was on the ring on the necklace the lynx kitten was wearing.

This is just the first part of the chapter. I didn't want to make my chapters to long, unless you wouldn't mind. The second part of the chapter is already up. Have fun reading it! :-D
