Bucky could barely comprehend what was coming out of Peter's mouth. He knew they were in a pressured conversation but he figured they were over the boy's insecurities about being a burden. The sweat was building up in his palms just at hearing him speak his thoughts.

"So I...I guess I don't really mind." He finished off, his heart pounding in his ears.

Miss Claywood smiled warmly, "Thank you Peter, don't worry nothing is official yet I'm just telling you what I know."

"So when is a decision going to be made?" Bucky asked.

"I can't be sure but no more than about 5 days."

5 days. Only 5 days.

"Okay, can we leave now?" The man pressured as his body itched to get out of her presence. The idea that she was even suggesting that Peter would be taken from them was prepostrous.

"You may, but I'll need to call at some point to finalise this." She replied calmly before switching her attention to Peter's God Parent's.

Before Peter could hear what she said Bucky had dragged him out the office, away from the 3 of them. The office foor slammed shut and the slamming noise echoed against the sides of Peter's head. Did everything have to be so loud?

"Come one we're leaving." Bucky mumbled quietly as they walked across the main area towards the door, gaining more attention than either would have liked.

"But I didn't say goodbye-"

"We'll see them again soon enough."

He took that as his cue to be quiet and silently got into the back of the car that Bucky had driven to come and pick the boy up in. The silence was somewhere between tense and awkward, neither said anything and the gentle hum of the engine was the only thing shattering the quiet.

Even Peter wanted to say something but the question was what? Clearly he was put under pressure in that situation but in all honestly he spoke the truth. He didn't know if he would ever be ready for missions again and what a hold back he would be when they needed to do them. He would just get in the way and it's not like they really needed him.

And there were two people who were wanting to adopt him, to look after him. Of course the others had but it was never what they wanted. No one wanted Tony gone. But maybe this was a sign, maybe this was his chance to get off their backs and move on from everything that reminded him of what he had lost. He could move away. From everything.

But how much would he miss everyone? Just because he could be moving didn't mean he didn't want to see them ever again. He still loved them. Still cared...

Would he be allowed to see them? Surely Rose and Karl would be understanding? Right?

Rain began to fall from the sky, hitting the window gently and running down. Peter silently watched, placing imaginary bets on who would fall the fastest as the clouds darkened menisingly. His mind wondered for place to place, thought to thought before the car came to a stop outside the Tower.

Bucky climbed out the drivers seat and went round to open Peter's door. "Come on, let's go in." He said, covering his head with a hand to stop the rain from drenching him entirely.

They briskly walked in and went straight to the elevator, Bukcy hitting the floor number before leaning against the wall as they made the journey up. Peter awkwardly rocked back and forth on his heels, glancing around at anything except Bucky. He could feel his spidey senses tiggling, suggesting that the man was looking at him, but he refused to meet his eyes.

He knew Bucky was most likely upset by what he had said but the man had to see it from his perspective. This could be the best for the both of them...

The doors opened and Peter shuffled after Bucky as he strided into the room. Steve noticed their presence and smiled.

"Hey guys how was-"

"Peter's God Parent's want to adopt him, they said today." Bucky replied before the man could even finish his sentence.

"What-how-"

"His Social Worker said they have a better chance over us and I...I think we might loose him."

"Woah woah, hey calm down alright? Let's all have a mature conversation okay?" Bruce interrupted before the situation got worse.

Peter stood distantly away from the others not knowing what to say. What was he  meant to say? Oh yeah I kinda said that I wouldn't mind some random people adopting me over you guys lol.

"Oh Peter, come here. I know this is probably worrying-" Clint started but Bukcy interrupted.

"Oh I don't think so."

"Woah what's that suppose to mean?" Steve stood up and put his hands on his hips. "Am I..are we," He gestured to himself and the others, "missing something?"

Peter swallowed and attempted at answer but once again Bucky interrupted.

"Peter told them that he wanted to move in with them. He wanted his God Parent's to adopt him." He seethed.

"What? Peter why-"

"I'm sorry, did I hear that right?"

"That's not what I meant-" He tried to say but they wouldn't listen.

"Then what did you mean?" Loki asked cautiously.

"You know what?" Peter said, letting out a small laugh, "Doesn't matter, even if I said would any of you listen? No. You don't understand, don't understand what I'm going through at all!"

"Because you don't tell us anything!"

Peter went silent and so did everyone else. He wanted to argue but it was the truth. What did he tell them?

"Well," He said, "I guess I would be better of with someone I could actually talk to then."

He walked back towards the elevator but not with the others calling out to him.

"Peter where are you going?"

"To Ned's house, I'll be there if you need me. But by the looks of things you don't."

And the elevator doors shut ending the conversation.
