Jace was stunned into silence, very unlike of him.
"What are you?" He finally asked the demon.
"Oh, well, I got to meet that lovely ancestor of yours," The demon scratched its head with a tentacle as if trying to gather a distant memory, "right, right, that blue eyed boy and the cat eyed warlock! Yes, yes, it was that Magnus Bane and that Will Herondale who raised me."
Jace's mouth flied open as he looked at Sebastian for some help. The other boy just smirked and left Jace to handle the demon by himself.
"What are you talking about?" He said, "I have no such ancestor."
The demon chuckled, if demons could chuckle.
"Yes you did. And the lovely boy also married a warlock if I am not mistaken."
Jace looked away as Sebastian seemed to be very deeply enjoying this exchange between the demon and Jace.
"I thought the Herondales had died out," the demon continued, "but apparently they're just like us," the demon slid its fangs out, "very hard to kill."
Jace nodded distractedly, caressing the seraph blade on his side.
"Enough," Exclaimed Sebastian, putting his seraph blade before the demon.
The demon gulped.
"Give us what we came for," Sebastian said, taking the lead.
The demon disappeared behind the counter, its long tentacles rummaging for what they needed. Then it put a brown package on the table in front of them.
"Here you are, Nephilim."
Sebastian smiled, like Lucifer smiled before being tossed right out of heaven.
"Pure adamas," He whispered.
The demon showed all of its fangs, row upon row, "how refreshing."
"What?" Jace snapped.
"Seeing how eager you both are to destroy what little civilization you have left."
